Pairing: Kylo Ren x Reader

Word Count: 2,032 (I got a little carried away, oops)

Warnings: Just a lil makin' out at the end

Request: Can you write something about training with Kylo while others were watching? Maybe he gets criticized for going easy on you, maybe someone snickers under their breath, suggesting that he has a little crush on you, and instead of getting mad at them, he goes a little harder on you. OOH, maybe you surprise him by matching his strength and pinning him to the floor (one of those cliche moments, you know what I mean). Thank you!!!!!!❤️

"Perhaps if she were surrounded by her peers, you could test how she is under pressure?" Hux said to Kylo, as they observed Y/N train with her lightsaber, practicing footwork and and getting used to the weight of the handle. She was just awarded a nicer model to train with, and she wasn't weak, but it was much heavier than the plastic version she had used prior. It was a nice challenge though, and the pride of knowing she'd earned the cool metal tool in her hand made her more determined to use it well.

"You may be right. She's advancing rather quickly with one-on-one training, but you never know. Some fighters freeze at the crucial moment, and we wouldn't want to throw her into that unprepared." Kylo nodded, his eyes still fixed on her form. He noticed your chest heaving slightly; you were pushing yourself fairly hard that day, what with the new upgrade.

"Who cares about her? If she froze when she needed most to succeed, it would be an embarrassment and worse, might cost us an important mission. I'd be more wary of how much time you devote to her development. There are plenty of other capable soldiers you could train." The supreme leader felt some anger seep in at the General's casual attitude toward him, and at his suggestion that Kylo might be unwise about how he spends his own time. He was the supreme leader, after all. He knew what would lead the First Order to success.

He turned to the insolent general with his lips in a hard line. "I'd advise you be careful about how you address me. I am your superior, and it is not and never will be your place to suggest that I'm unwise in any action I take, especially that which is meant to lead the First Order toward its success." Hux's expression turned sour at his words, but nonetheless, he nodded obediently and stalked away like a scorned child.

Kylo continued watching you until your time alone in the training room ended, and once you were finished that day, he scheduled your group training session.

You were nervous. You had only ever trained alone or in the presence of the Supreme Leader, and throwing yourself into a room with more than 10 other trainees was a frightening challenge, to say the least. But, you wouldn't shy away from the task. You had the skills you were taught mastered, and your demonstration that afternoon would prove it.

Your session began not with you, but with 3 others going before you. Luckily, it wasn't just you being tested in front of the group, but all of you one-by-one. You silently thanked the Supreme Leader for that act of mercy, because you knew for a fact that you were the only individual in the program that trained exclusively with Master Ren one-on-one. He very easily could have thrust you into that room and made you do it immediately and without time to adjust to the extra company, but he didn't, and you were grateful.

You observed each officer-in-training spar with the Supreme Leader, him being particularly critical and not letting up one bit, which you were un-used to. He wasn't often like that with you, unless he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, and after being under his charge for a year, you knew that version of him very well. You supposed he was like this most of the time.. which meant you were a bit of an exception.
