Kylo has been a little glum ever since returning from his recent mission, and the second he stepped onto the Starkiller base, you knew that some serious shit had gone down. You let him carry on with his day, though, as you knew he hated being interrupted in the middle of processing it. You gave him the day to stew in whatever had happened, but you both knew that as soon as he entered your shared quarters, you'd be ready to help him unwind and talk about it if he needed.
And here he is, stepping into your quarters, removing his helmet immediately, as he knows you don't like to feel that sense of separation from him. When he turns around, you're there with open arms, and he gladly lets you embrace him, taking a deep breath of relief when your head buries in his chest. You two don't need words at this point to follow your usual routine that takes place after one of his missions.
He lets you lead him to the bed, where you set his clothing, one article at a time as you take them off for him. There's nothing sexual about it, you're just removing those layers that remind him of the day behind him, and once he's in his boxers, you do the same, stripping down to your underwear. You take his hand and lead him to the bathroom, where a steaming tub of water awaits you both. He gets in first, and you follow right behind him, and when you both settle in the warm water, you let your muscles relax as you revel in the encompassing heat. After a little bit of relaxation, you take some shampoo and beckon for him to get closer so you can massage it through his hair. He groans softly whenever you tug at it a little, which always causes a bit of a blush to creep up your neck.
Once you've successfully shampoo'd and rinsed his hair, you take the chance to massage him, gently kneading out the knots in his muscles and caressing his skin, leaving the occasional kiss on the juncture of his neck and shoulders. He revels in your attention and affection, and once you're done in the bath, he appreciates you while you softly run a fluffy towel against his skin. You two proceed to get ready for bed, which you both look forward to every day anyway, and once you're both comfortable between the silky sheets, you turn onto your side and wrap a leg around his waist, your arm resting above it as he loosely holds your hand. Your chest against his back is soft and comforting, and after the days he's had, he's grateful you're there to make him feel calm and warm and.. safe.
