"I'm home!!" I yell as soon as I step foot in the door."And I need to hit a glow up by tommorow!"

There is silence so I just stand there confused. Where is everyone? I have to go to Jame's or jefree's and beat my face. Morgan and I had already made plans for shopping, i just needed an uber to her apartment.

"Chris?" Ryland comes down the stares with his glasses."Why are you home late, school ended thirty-seven minutes ago."

I shrug my shoulders, a smile placed on my lips at how Raven gave me attention at the gym. Still, there is no reason to lie to my amazing dad.

"I met up with a friend, Raven, because we had some tea earlier. You know she admires you guys?"

Ryland raises an eyebrow."It's your first day of school there and you're already in some tea?" I nod, his eyes narrowing."Is it from YouTube,or the kids from the other school?"

I let out a laugh, startling Ryland."No, my friends Taylor and Emily said something that upset Raven, so i decided to apologize for them." Ryland follows along nodding her head."Anyways this Raven girl is so me. We dress the same, we have the same attitude, obsessed over the same music-EVERYTHING!

"Oh, and we totally decided to hang out here for Halloween, she is dying to meet you guys!"

"Sounds like you have a crush." There is a snort from the kitchen table and I jump.

"What the actual fuck-"

I stop at Shane's death stare. Yeah, fine.

"And no, Raven is just a friend. I am one hundred percent straight, dad." I plop on the couch, leaving my camo book bag by the door for Ryland to yell at me later.

"There's nothing wrong with experimenting and having feelings-"

I check my phone to see my uber here and I smile."Alright losers, I'm going with Morgan to go shopping, and I need Jefree or James to come over and glow me up."

Shane frowns."Is this about Emily and Tay? Do you want to look like them or something? Sounds to me, Raven is a better friend."

Yes, definitely. But instead,"no, I just need knew clothes. I'm a growing gal!"

"That's not true, the doctor said you'll stay five one forever!" I give Ryland a death stare making him laugh some more.

"But seriously, babygirl, you are beautiful just the way you are. You shouldn't change the way you dress or look because you want to fit in."

I walk over to Shane for a hug before I leave. "Thanks dude. I'll be home by ten."

Ryland gives me a hug before I go."Ten! You have school tomorrow babe!"

"Ry, let her go. She's happy, that's all she wanted remember?" Shane lowered his tone but I caught it. I am not happy, I just want to fit in. I'm finally doing it now, but its so hard to balance who I am and who I want to be."Jefree is busy,but James will be over in the morning, ok?"

"Ok, thanks. OH, Love you!" I say over my shoulder, closing the door behind me and running to the uber late as fuck."Sorry."

Chris narrows her eyes and I share a worried quick glance at Ryland. What is my babygirl hiding? I thought we could talk to each other, because we relate. Now we aren't as close as we used to, and its tearing me apart.
