"Hello?!" Jay's sudden tone made me snap back into reality.

"What?!" I yelled confused. "What the hell? You didn't need to scream."

"Are you okay?" He looked concerned.

"Yes. Why wouldn't I be?"

"You were so out of it." Shrugging he pulled up a chair next to me. "What do you need help with?" In the reflection of his glasses I saw myself.

"Nothing. There is a huge exam and I don't get the whole section." I bit my nail and looked down at the paper avoiding eye contact.

"It's not that hard, you're just overthinking it." Leaning in he pulls the book towards us. "Just first, clear your head. You can't put something new in there if it's filled to the max, can you?"

"Easy said." I sighed leaning my head on my hand.

"How long have you been doing this?" The playfulness in his grassy eyes were gone.

"Since you left this morning. I couldn't go back to sleep so I guess I studied to keep myself busy." Once my eyes met his, the breath was knocked out of me.

"You've been studying for over eight hours?" The tone of his voice was deep and stern. I swear he could kill me with his words. "Are you fucking insane? No wonder you're so out of it." Dropping the pencil he grabbed the sides on my chair and forcefully pulled me towards him.

"It's been that long?" He had a point.

"You've been studying for eight hours on a Friday?" He looked at me like I was insane. "You're not allowed back in here for the rest of the day."

"You can't force me not to do something." If anything I was the type of person to do something they were told not to.

"Who said that?" He pulled my seat farther to his so the two seats were touching. "You should know by now, princess." Before I knew it, he was so close to the point I felt the heat radiating off from his body. "You are not to go near another book for the next 24 hours, understood?"

"..." I opened my mouth to protest but nothing came out. What is he doing to me? His gaze went from my eyes to my lips.

"You're killing me, girl." The corner of his lips turn upwards forming a grin. Leaning in, his lips meet mine sending a shiver down my spine. He moved his hands from the corner of my chair to my thighs. It wasn't being creepy and feeling me up, but just resting his hands there. I pulled away lightly gliding my fingers on my bottom lip.

"I-I'm gonna take a nap." Pulling my  hand away from my mouth I stood up. Quickly, I walked out the study and into the living room. The sudden cold made me jump a bit so I grabbed my soft blanket putting it over my body before connecting my phone to the smart TV. Jay came out five minutes later and went into the kitchen. "Jay!"

"What's up?" He called back out to me.

"Can you grab me the chips? Please!" Once he walked back into the living room I lifted the blanket a little letting him slide under it. "Thanks." Grabbing the chips I opened a Darkness Prevails video and leaned against Jay's chest.

The second we step into the store Jay grabs my hand lightly pulling me closer to him. "You good?" Looking up I had a confused tune in my voice.
