Arranged marriage

Not anymore.

My alarm set off and I buried my face into the blankets. After five minutes of ignoring the alarm I opened my eyes annoyed and tried to get out of bed but Jay's arm were a seatbelt.

"Mind letting me go?" I mumbled to him shutting my eyes again.

"Why?" He groaned and held me tighter.

"I need to go to work, remember?"

"Since when?" He popped his head up eyes half closed.

"Since I was sixteen, genius." I rolled my eyes as he fell back into the pillows.

"Oh, yeah." He laughed and let go.

"Thank you." I sighed and walked to the bathroom washing my face. I let my hair down as it was still damp and did my makeup. Some black high-waisted jeans and a dusty pink shirt that stopped on the top of my jeans. I got up and when I finished my makeup Jay had got up sitting with his phone out.

"What time are you going to be back?" He asked looking up from his phone screen.

"Maybe like five?" I shrugged and got a text on my phone.

Ruby: Hey, sorry to do this to ya but can you cover my closing shift today and tomorrow? My mom is in the hospital.

Me: of course! No problem plus I still owe you so your good.

Ruby: thank u so much I don't know how to thank u!

Me: no problem :)

"Never mind, around eight I'll be back." I sighed and he frowned.

"But I'll get lonely!" He whined like a four year old.

"If you get so bored then you can visit." I smiled and he grinned back.

"Oh! Wait!" He jumped out of bed and rushed downstairs. Not a minute later he was back and with my glasses. I smirked and kissed his cheek putting my glasses on.

"Happy?" I smiled and he nodded.

"Very." He tried to kiss me and I quickly ran out the room. "That's just not fair!" He ran after me and I put my flats on grabbed everything I needed and blew a kiss before running off into the car.

              I got to the mall and instantly cursed at myself.  I worked at H&M that was in the mall and it just struck me that Noah was supposed to be working there as well. I took a deep breath and stepped out the car locking it as I walked towards the two story mall.

           "Sila!" I felt arms on my shoulder and as an instinct and out of pare terror I elbowed the person behind me resulting in them groaning in pain.

           I looked behind me and bit my lip when I saw my friend Dominic laughing and clutching his hip. "I told you not to scare me you prick!"

           "It was so worth it." He laughed and stood up straight hugging me. I rolled my eyes hugging him back. "So, tell me what the fuck have you been doing the past few months?! Bitch, you haven't been to work for how long now?!"

            "Let discussion as we walk." I laughed wanting so much to see the look on his face.

           "Okay, spill." He demanded.
