Bought by my new master
Made to forget my home
I am trapped here forever
Like the dead in their catacombHe is a general dashing with body worth dying for,
Women beautify themselves, for his attention is what they're vying for
I wish he would spare me a gaze
Like flames his sight sets me ablazeOnce he was drunk
And looked like a rugged hunk
He made an advance
For his love i took a chanceHe had me undressed
And i knew it was going to be messed
And trailed his hands as i lay my body bare
For tonight he was my stallion and i his mareIn morning i woke up with pain
His handsome face marked with disdain
Tell nobody ever
That i slept with sewerDid yesterdays love meant nothing to you?
Slaves have masters not lovers you fool!
Now clean up the house
I want it to look good for my spouseMy tears stung like acid
Was my existence placid?
Useless were those lore
For i felt used like a whoreHow can we be bought and sold
Is our life worth a few peices of gold?
Does our dignity not matter
Like glass our heart always shattersI wish times will change
Where apartheid the society will estrange
Where love can be free
Colour gender race it won't seeThough now apartheid is non existent yet racism does exist i feel and its our duty to get rid of that ,
Again this story is set in the times when slavery was legal in america i got the inspiration for this from a video i saw on youtube which moved me to tears i am an indian btw
