Hunith walks into Camelot, Merlin spots her as he's collecting water from the well. "Mother?" He asks rushing over to her. "Merlin!" She goes to hug him, but he notices her bruise. "What happened? Who did this to you?!" She smiled at him, "I'll explain later, where is your sister?"

Hunith stands before Uther and the court. After Merlin rushed in on Quinn and Arthur with the news that their mother was back, they all rushed to solve the problem. "The winters are harsh in Ealdor, and there are many children. Some of them just won't be strong enough to survive. We barely have enough food as it is, and if Kanen takes our harvest, our children won't live to see another summer. Please, we need your help." Hunith cries as Quinn holds her mother closely, Arthur watching in pity and nervousness. This was the women he loves mother, and his fathers judgement could change that.

"Ealdor's in Cenred's kingdom. Your safety is his responsibility." Uther spoke with a slight guilty look. "We've appealed to our King, but he cares little for the outlying regions. You're our only hope." Hunith cried out as everyone watched her sadly, Quinn immediately pulled her mother into a hug. "I have the deepest sympathy for you and would have this barbarian wiped off the face of the earth."

"You'll help us?" She smiled as Quinn looked up hopefully, "I wish I could." Uther sighed causing Quinn to sag in disappointment. "Surely we can spare a few men?" Arthur tried for her, he wanted to help as much as he could.

"Resources are not the problem."

"Then what is?"

"Ealdor lies beyond the Ridge of Essetir. For an army of Camelot to enter it would be an act of war." Hunith drops to her knees. "I know you're a good king, a caring man. I'm begging you, help us, please." She tried again as Quinn fell with her. "The accord we've struck with Cenred was years in the making. I cannot risk hundreds of lives for the sake of one village. I'm afraid Camelot cannot help." Morgana glares at Uther and escorts Hunith out with Quinn following closely, holding her mother.

Arthur tried to speak, but Merlin just glared and left the room as well.

Arthur looks out over Camelot, Quinn and Merlin join him. "I'm sorry. If it were up to me, we'd be on our way there now." Arthur told her gripping her hand as she smiled gently at him. "You tried. And thank you for getting an audience with the King." She kissed him lightly in the cheek, he blushed as Merlin rolled his eyes. "I wish that Camelot was able to help people regardless of how far away they lived."

"We're going back to Ealdor." Merlin told him causing him to pause for a moment. "Of course." Arthur cleared his throat, "It's been an honour serving you." Merlin held out his hand to shake it as Quinn smiled sadly at him. "You'll be coming back." Arthur somewhat demanded, slightly upset that it seemed like they weren't going too.
