Last chapter:
You know how badly Sasori wanted to help you today, but you know that he was given a big mission, preventing him – and Deidara – from doing so.
You understand.
'Take care, Deidara...Sasori. I hope to see the both of you soon.'
___
"Ah." You say, followed by a soft sigh. You're glad you packed all the supplies away.
Food in the fridge. Toiletries in the bathroom. You put everything in its place.
You go back upstairs to your room, the stairs creaking quietly under the each step. Once inside your room, you look around and notice how dull and bland everything is. The once white paint is now a little darker and dirty. In some parts of the room, paint has started peeling. There is dust everywhere. Other than that, the room is in good condition.
"This room is the definition of my life right now." You mutter as you slowly walk further in, going to the bed in the corner, next to the window.
You look around and see that there is a brown cupboard opposite the bed, also in the corner. A curtain is already up; it is light purple with vertical lines that are black. That is about all that's in the room. Your new room.
You sit down on the bed and almost feel as if you are sinking into it. "So soft. I think I could get used to this."
You turn and lay on your stomach, running your hands up and down the blanket.
You let out a soft, contented hum before getting off the bed – which you found very, very comfortable – and straightening out the blanket. You raise your arms up and arch your back as you stretch.
You scratch the back of your neck as you leave your room, finding a broom to clean with being your first priority now.
***
After about ten minutes of looking around and searching in the same place more than once, you finally spot the wooden broomstick.Under the bed. Your bed.
Getting on your knees so you're not bending, you slide your hand under the bed, moving it around to grab hold of the broom.
Once you have it, you pull it out, standing up afterwards.
"What a mission it is to find a broom." You mumble, still upset that you wasted time just because you had to find a broom.
You sigh and begin sweeping, making sure that you don't step on the dust.
***
You yawn, dabbing your face with a cool cloth. "Now the whole house is clean. I can finally relax."It started out with sweeping in every room, but that turned into actual cleaning; mopping, polishing, washing windows and dishes, cleaning the toilet, basin, shower and bath.
You even did the laundry that you found was left for you in your cupboard after you opened the doors.
You hang the cloth up again before heading to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
***
You just got into bed after a long, relaxing bath. All the lights are off and you reach forward, pulling the curtain open. You're guessing it's around eight since the sun is gone and the moon is starting to reveal itself.
You lay your head down on your soft pillow and look out the window, admiring the scenery you're able to get from your current point of view.
The last thing you manage to make out before falling unconscious into peaceful sleep, is two purple eyes coming in close after some thuds.
