"Pack your shit! Everyone!" My voice boomed through the halls of our home

"Pack your shit! Everyone!" My voice boomed through the halls of our home.

Zach and Dan came out of their rooms with bags of clothes, throwing them down the stairs and started to lug down Ash and Cody's things. Not much, just a backpack or two from each.

I should have gone alone.

"Two Of you might have to sleep in the trailer!" I informed. All we have is a weeks worth of clothes and toiletries and food.

They're going to get killed because of me.

My entire body froze at the top of the steps for what was really only a minute, but felt like eternity.

"Scar?" Maxx shook me out of my trance.

"Yeah sorry." I smiled back at him as reassuringly as I could.

I ran my hands through my short black hair, running down the stairs and into the kitchen with my bag draped over my shoulder.

"I have some friends in Houston, that's where we're heading." I sighed grabbing the large pack of smokes from the counter and the lighters.

"Who do you know in Houston?" Maxx questioned making his way outside with his things, me following.

"Awsten, Geoff, and Otto. You know them!" I laughed. Ciara won't be happy to see me, but then again she hates me.

"Oh yeah! Didn't we used to go to high school with them when we moved out to Houston for our last year of school?" I laughed and nodded.

"Is everyone ready?" I asked, watching Cody and Ash set up a small bed in the trailer and Zach and Dan do the same in the van next to where Maxx and I were going to sleep.

"Yep!" Cody smiled.

"Who's driving?" Zach asked downing the rest of his monster.

"I'll drive. It's a thirty hour drive though so we will have to switch out once and awhile." I smiled. I was like a fucking mannequin; no real emotion.

My phone started to buzz in my pocket, I picked it up.

"Hey," I laughed.

"Ciara isn't happy you guys are coming, but she doesn't really need to be happy about it." Awsten started off. I started up the car and started driving, putting Awsten on speaker phone.

"Ciara hates me Aws, she also isn't fond of you from what I can remember." I joked.

"You're lucky Geoff and Otto moved out. Geoff is living with Chloe, and Otto is living with Grace." Just by his voice you could tell he was smiling.

"So there's three bedrooms for us to use?" He hummed a yes.

"Nice, Cody and Ash can take one room, Maxx and I can take one, but Zach and Dan need to figure out who's sleeping where." I sighed in agitation.

"If one of them don't mine sleeping on a futon then they can sleep in my music room until we can figure it out." Awsten suggested.

"That's what we'll do. Also in public you guys have to call Cody and I by our aliases. Adeline and Chris Stevens."

"Doesn't Code get a say in what his his alias is?" Awsten laughed in confusion.

"Nope."

Maxx snickered at me from the passenger seat. "Anyway, we'll see you within the next few days. Bye Aws!" I smiled. I loved Awsten like a brother, he was the best fucking friend I could ever ask for. The call ended with Awsten saying goodbye.

Three hours into the trip Maxx and I decided to take out place in the back of the van, Zach and Ash moved to the front just to avoid us and our gross teenage like relationship.

"Maxx!" I whined nudging him slightly off my lap.

"Scoot over I wanna lay down." He cursed under his breath and moved off me, his arm wrapping around me as soon as I got settled.

"Scarlett." Maxx whined pulling on my hip to make me face him. He could be such a child sometimes.

"What!" I smiled at him, my fingers lacing with his that were resting on my hip.

"Face me!" He smiled dragging each 'e'. I obliged and turned to face him fully.

I just smiled, I won't lie, but I'm terrified of speaking. I felt like if I was to open my mouth I'd finally break down.

"I know you're terrified, but you don't need to hide that." He spoke softly, his hand brushed up my body stoping at my cheek, his thumb brushing against my cheekbone.

"I'm just a little tired of having to switch shit up." I admitted with a single tear rolling down my face. It was like everything that could go wrong played through my mind at every waking hour.

"That's not the full reason, we both know that." He kissed my temple and rested his chin on the top of my head and I cuddled to his chest.

"I don't want to see another person get killed because of me." I sobbed quietly into his arms as he held me closer to him. This is gonna be a long ride.
