Everyone froze watching her bleed onto the floor.
"Do we really need her? All she did was give us dirty looks." I sighed, watching- Letting that guy run off. I knelt down next to her; she had passed out from blood loss. It blew off a good chunk out of her shoulder.
"Guess we don't have a choice." I tilted my head slightly, without even thinking a smirk crept onto my lips. Somethings wrong with me.
"We could call an ambulance to help get rid of her, but that's up to Awsten." Cody sighed looking down at Ciara.
"She deserved what she got, let the ambulance take her away. I never want to see her again." Awsten crosses his arms over his chest, his back now against the wall.
"I'll call." Dan smiled sympathetically pulling his phone out, calling an ambulance.
"My friend was shot through our living room window. She's bleeding a lot." Dan said franticly to the phone operator.
"707 Dallas street." He breathed as the call ended.
"Wanna get Geoff, Chloe, Otto, and Grace to come over once this is fixed? I didn't get to see them when you guys were in LA." Cody asked.
"Sure, Otto was gonna come over anyway." Awsten smiled pulling his phone sending a few texts. It was slightly unsettling how comfortable we were with the fact someone was shot in front of us. We sat and made ourselves cry to look like we were devastated and scared due to what happened once the ambulance arrived. By the time it did they pronounced Ciara dead on the scene, no duh. They hauled her body away in a body bag like they would anyone else.
"They'll be back to try and kill one of us you know." I sighed crossing my arms over my chest looking to Cody who wasn't paying attention. "Hey asshole!" I huffed flicking the side of his head earning a flick back from him.
"Now that you're paying attention what do you suppose we do?" Cody just shrugged and went back on his phone.
"Okay, no going outside alone no matter the time of day, bring your gun and knife everywhere and keep and eye open for any Clique members, let them come to you." I instructed pulling out my phone and start calling the forty or fifty other gangs that fell under Cody's leadership.
"I have an alarm system setup in this house, at night the whole house can go on full lockdown." Awsten informed showing of a small little remote that was dangling from his keys.
"Great, no going out at night unless we all are." Cody looked to me with widened eyes like a child who just lost his toy.
"That's not fair!" Cody exclaimed his head snapping towards me.
"Cody you should be the one leading us not Scarlett, she's doing your job for you." Maxx pointed out shoving his hands in his pockets. Cody is obviously out of it, I don't know why but he is. I shook my head at Maxx, now is not the time for a fight.
"I'm trying Maxx!" Cody snapped, Ash attempted to pull him away from the group to calm him down but failing. Cody started to snap at Ash as well, not caring about anything else.
"Cody shut the fuck up and calm down. You're out of it, you look exhausted. Take a few days to relax as much as you can, I'll handle everything else." I told, patting his back he eventually calmed enough to form normal and less angry words. He mouthed an thank you and headed to the spare room where his things had been set up.
"So what's the plan?" Dan asked.
"Go out in groups, no leaving the house after sundown unless we all are leaving, after ten pm all doors and windows will be locked with no if ands or buts. Awsten do you still have that huge white board and bulletin?" I asked, Awsten nodded.
"I'll need that, paper, and space. I'll keep you guys updated on what I've got but don't bother me unless it's an emergency like another Clique member or some shit." Awsten and I waked towards his office and wheeled the huge white board into my room and then the bulletin, handing me flash-cards and some tacs. after hours the whiteboard got filled with possibilities and the most likely reasons Tyler is out for our blood. I've narrowed the possibilities down to twelve of the most likely. It's not looking so good for us. Maxx walked into our room to see me on the floor silently in tears. I looked quickly towards the door and then down toward my lap wiping away my tears looking back up at him pretending everything was okay. I took a deep breath and erased the whiteboard and pinned the last flash-card to my bulletin.
"Twelve possible reasons why Tyler could be out for blood." I muttered to myself feeling Maxx's arms wrap around me. "We haven't killed a large group of his men so that's out. No one has been in contact with his inner circle. That takes out four options, left with eight." I took off the four flash-cards and threw them in the small trash can next to me. "We haven't stolen anything from them, definitely haven't been on any his land, there goes seven." Seven more cards went into the trash leaving only one. My eyes widened with shock and terror.
"Oh no."
