Basically this weekend was going to be like fight club. All the smaller gangs that fall under Set it off (the dumb ass name Cody came up with when he became the leader.)
"Who's ready for tonight?" Cody smiled menacingly.
"I think I want to back down." Maxx admitted leaning back in his chair.
"Too late Bud, you already have an opponent." I smirked. He knows that I only smirk when I'm doing something mischievous.
"Oh no, no! I'm not doing it! Scarlett no!" Maxx exclaimed with wide eyes.
Everyone except for Cody, Maxx and I were confused.
"What?" Zach asked in his usual loud manner.
"Maxx and I are going against each other tonight." I smiled innocently at Maxx who was shaking his head no.
"I'm not going to hurt my girlfriend for sport." He explained.
"It's not me you should be worrying about, it should be yourself because if you hold back you might end up in a hospital bed." That obviously didn't help.
"Cody take me off the list please!" Maxx pleaded.
"It will be fine, I won't go super hard unless you want me too, okay? I'm not gonna hurt you too bad." I gave him a reassuring smile and held his hand.
"Plus if you can't take it you could always tap out mid round." Dan added.
"Scar, wanna have a siblings match?" My eyes lit up with excitement when Cody mentioned it.
"Fuck yes!" Tonight was going to be great.
"Try not to get yourself killed tonight, Scarlett." Maxx looked concerned.
"I won't. We changed some of the rules, right C?" Cody nodded.
"No weapons unless both people decide to do the hamster ball fight." Cody explained, he was tapping the end of the pen against his lower lip as he looked at the long list of people.
"Oh, Awsten wanted to go against someone hard, anyone up for it?"
"I'll take him on," Zach opted for the job. Each one of us had an opponent except for Ash, she just announced things.
"Go find some clothes you don't mind getting bloody." I smiled at Maxx, letting go of his hand, running up the stairs into my room I dug through my closet.
I picked out some looser monochrome camouflage pants, grabbing a black Bikini top and my black sheer long sleeve cover up. I had about six black sheer cover up shirts, I don't need that many.
I slipped out of my skinny jeans and I put my monochrome camouflage pants on, I pulled my shirt over my head the unhooked my bra, replacing it with the bikini and then I slipped the sheer shirt over top.
"Maxx!" I called out, he peered his head into my room barely even looking in my direction.
"Do you have a red bandanna I could borrow for tonight?" He hummed a yes a retrieved it from his room.
"Here you go, baby." His eyes widened in surprise.
"Holy shit!" I smiled at his sudden boldness.
"You look so hot." He smirked slightly biting his lip as he took in how I looked.
"Maybe I'll let you have a taste of this after the fight tonight." I winked, grabbing my hairbrush from my side table, splitting my hair across horizontally. I tied the top half messily with a hair tie so I could neatly tie the bandanna around my head, resting on my forehead.
"Weren't you planning on beating the hell out of me?" Maxx had a point, I was planning on that.
"Yeah, But now too badly." I pulled one more hair tie from my makeup bag and I put it on my wrist with my other hair tie that was just previously holding up the top half of my hair.
Maxx had name himself comfortable on my bed. He snapped a picture of me, it had the perfect angle and everything.
"How did I get so lucky?" Maxx smiled to himself, slowly saying the words he was typing, posting the photo to Instagram tagging me in it."Hey losers hurry up, we have to be there before anyone else!" Cody yelled from the bottom of the steps.
"Give us ten minutes!" Maxx yelled, not once looking up from his phone.
I quickly tied the hair on the top of my hair into two small pink tails. "Should I wear lipstick?" I asked myself looking over to my makeup bag. "Nah."
"Maxx, do you really wanna get that sweater dirty?"
"I think I'm just gonna go in there shirtless." He finally looked up from his phone.
"Come here." He grabbed my hand, pulling me on top of him.
"You look beautiful and I really don't want to hurt this gorgeous face that I've come to love." His hand brushed my cheek as he leaned in a bit closer.
"Promise you won't go too hard on me." Our lips melted and mended together passionately. It was like sparks were flying every time we kissed. He was the sweetest man I had ever known. Our connection ended, are foreheads were pressed together.
"I promise." His green eyes stared into my blue ones.
"Come on Scarlett!" Cody whined from down the stairs.
"We're coming!"
"Way to kill the mood." I sighed to myself.
"Everyone got their shit?" Zach asked counting the amount of people in the room, all of us nodding.
"C are we the first fight?" I wanted to get my fights out of the way, I wanted to do them, but I had something else on my mind.
"Yeah, it's me and you then Maxx and you." He responded, not looking in my direction at all, but instead looking at Ash who really wasn't excited to see a shit ton of people fight or to really be around Cody at all.
"Okay cool!" We all ran out into the van, well, everyone except Cody and Ash.
"Looks like there's trouble in paradise." Zach laughed, earning a lunch in the shoulder from me.
"What was that for!" He stared to rub his arm to help soothe the pain.
"Just shut up." I sighed, leaning into my corner of the van, it was the same spot where everything happened. Maxx plopped himself down next to me, pulling my legs over his and lacing his fingers with mine.
"Ugh are you guys going to always be like that?" Dan whined, laughing, Zach following. In unison both Maxx and I flipped them off with our free hands.
"Oh fuck off." Tonight was going to be fun.
