"Scarlett!" Awsten beamed running out his front door and attacking me with a hug as I stepped out of the van.
"Aws!" I laughed wrapping an arm around him.
"Thanks for letting us stay here for a bit, I'm not sure how long we'll be here for." Maxx smiled at Awsten as our embrace disconnected.
"Anything for family!" He laughed, looking at Maxx just to look up at his bedroom window to see Ciara looking down at us.
"She's really not excited to see us again, is she?" Zach joked grabbing his things from the van. Everyone else followed Zach's lead.
"Hey Ciara!" Dan smiled, Ciara just scoffed and walked away.
"She definitely hates us." Zach said, helping Ash bring her bags inside while Cody got the rest.
"She hates me too." Awsten laughed sadly.
"Didn't she cheat on you like twice? Why are you still with her man? She's trying to control your life." I hate that I know how it feels to be Awsten right now.
"She doesn't have a place to live right now so I let her stay, and we aren't together anymore." He frowned.
Dan and attempted to lift his bag from the back of the van, but dropped it on the ground creating a loud bang. I jump a little at the noise.
"Still a scaredy-cat?" Awsten laughed wrapped his arm around my shoulder and lead me inside.
"I see you've changed the place." The walls that were once white were now a baby blue, the kitchen was a nice grey.
"Last time you were here I was just moving in." He laughed.
"It's been that long huh?" I scratched the back of my head, forgetting that I had cut my hair.
"It sucks that you only did two matches during the fight night thing. We totally could have kicked the shit outta each other." Awsten teased.
"You'd barely be able to touch me." I retaliated.
A sudden feeling of pounding filled my chest, I could feel every beat. I nearly stopped in my tracks. All I could hear was the beating of my heart. It was alarming, but I disregarded the feeling and suppressed it. I wasn't going to let anyone know what was going on in my head, that's how they get you.
None of them should be apart of this. Everyone should have stayed back in LA.
BANG.
It was almost in slow motion. My head quickly turned to where the sound came from. A man stood in black and red. He was a Clique member. I watched as the bullet launched from from the barrel of his gun, aiming at Ciara from outside the window of the living room. Before anyone had time to react Ciara was already clutching her shoulder in a pool of her own blood.
"Fuck."
