BANG BOOM CRASH!
Awsten's car was hit by an oncoming car about 18 miles away from the motel. The other car was fine just a bit dinged up as for Awsten's car it was completely totaled and flipped onto it's side.
Maxx was fully awake and only had a few scrapes and bruises, he was a little dizzy but still able to move, on the other hand, Scarlett was passed out in the driver's seat with glass sticking out of her arms and face, she was bleeding a lot. Maxx scrabble to find a phone and called an ambulance then sent Cody their location.
"Scar you better be okay!" Maxx cried. Scar was barely breathing by the time everyone arrived. The EMT's were treating Scar's wounds as they loaded her up in the ambulance, Maxx followed. Cody was crying into Ash's chest. no one had ever seen Cody cry, not even Scar. Dan started up the van again and they followed the ambulance to the hospital.
"Maxx what happened?" Cody asked sniffling.
"She was at the motel we're at and she was leaving, I saw her so I ran to the car, it wouldn't start so I got in. she texted the groupchat from my phone and we left. then some yellow graffitied car came and crashed into us and drove off. It looked like a Clique members car." Maxx said with his head in his hands, they were sitting in the waiting room of the hospital. Scar had to go into surgery to remove all the glass from her skin and fix her broken hand.
"I'm sorry Cody it should have been me" Maxx teared up trying to keep his composure. the room went silent. no one spoke.
"Are you Mrs. Carson's Family?" a Doctor asked.
"Yes!" Maxx and Cody said in unison.
"She's out of surgery but she is still asleep I can take you to see her now if you'd like?" the doctor said with a sympathetic smile. The two boys stood up and followed the doctor into the ICU.
"She has multiple fractures in her left hand and she is severely dehydrated, we won't know if she has a concussion until she wakes up but she's okay." the doctor said as she left the room.
"Thank you, Doctor." Maxx said sitting down next to Scarlett.
"She shouldn't have gone alone." Cody muttered as if it was Maxx's fault.
"I tried to stop her and I tried going with her I'm sorry." Maxx said. after that they sat in silence for about an hour before Scar started to awake.
"M-Maxx?" I said hoarsely. my throat hurt so much I could barely talk.
"I'm sorry." I said again, my eyes were barely open but I could make out the shape of Maxx and Cody standing near the hospital bed I was in.
Cody started to cry and hug me tightly. "ow be gentle." I said with a groan.
"And please don't cry you two I'm okay." I smiled. both of them looked like they've been tough hell the past few hours.
"Can you pass me a phone I should call Awsten and tell him about his car." Maxx handed me his cell, my phone must have gotten lost in the crash, all the photos I had of Cody and Maxx from high school are gone.
I called Awsten, "Hey Awsten." I said roughly.
"SCAR WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU JUST LEFT LIKE THAT YOU IDIOT!" Awsten scolded.
"Awsten I'm sorry I totaled your car." I said quietly hoping he wouldn't be mad.
"HOW DID YOU DO THAT!" he yelled through the phone.
"Maxx and I got into a car crash, we're okay and I'll pay you back for the car. it was shit anyway." I mumbled. Maxx looked at me still with so much worry. I was okay now.
"GIRL YOU BETTER BE OKAY!" Awsten yelled. he sounds like my father.
"Yeah, we're okay. we're in some hospital in Ohio, once I can move again I'm going after Tyler. I'll send you the signal if I'm in trouble, you know what to do." I said sternly. Maxx and Cody shook their heads in disappointment. they know I don't give up.
"Yes ma'am, I know what to do." Awsten confirmed. I sighed rolling my eyes. he knows I hate it when he calls me ma'am.
"I'll see you then, again sorry about your shitty car." Awsten hung up and I handed the phone back to Maxx.
"Cody can Maxx and I have a few minutes alone? plus you should tell the guys I'm okay." Cody gave Maxx a dirty look but obliged and walked out shutting the door being him.
"You scared the shit outta me!" Maxx sobbed.
"Maxx you know I always bounce back. now you're gonna help me take down Mad Gear."
"Scar I can't! you almost died!" he cried. I hate seeing him look like this. I'm okay. Maxx I swear I'm okay. he collapsed over me on the bed sobbing, he could barely stand. I slowly reached my hand up to stroke his hair and help him calm down.
"It's either we take him down or everyone we love dies. I don't wanna see any of you get killed. we have to fight him." I said softly, not that I could talk any louder.
"Fine but everyone is coming, and what were you talking to Awsten about? some sort of signal?" Maxx asked looking up at me with tears in his eyes.
"Awsten has a way of contacting the whole gang quickly, everyone will immediately be on their way to help. I know he's already sent out a message for everyone to be ready for when the second shoe drops." I explained. he looked confused and surprised.
"how long have you been planning this?" Maxx asked, I don't know why because he was there.
"Since we got to Houston. I got that call and I just knew that I had to do something or you'd be dead, then I almost got you killed during the car crash." I told him, I was shaking from all the nerves. I'm the best killer in Set it off, I shouldn't be this scared but I am. The others can never know.
"so what's the plan?" Ash asked as the others stepped into the room.
"I know you sister and I know you don't give up so what's the plan?" she asked again.
"We're going to kill Mad Gear and if we have to his entire crew too." I said emotionlessly.
"But you have old friends in the clique, are you ready to kill them if you have to?" Dan asked.
"I have no choice."
