"Cody I need to talk to you. Alone preferably." I grabbed a pack of smokes and a lighter from the kitchen and headed outside, Cody following.

"What's the problem? You've been more distant than usual." He was worried, but it was obvious that he still didn't want to be around me for some reason.

"I'm leaving. You don't have to come or anything, but I'd would set up security cameras to help you watch your back." I lit the cigarette between my lips letting smoke out.

"What why?" They never called him.

"I got a call, they new what we did, if they didn't call you then they're just targeting me. I'm leaving so they could never catch me, no one is going with me, you can if you want, but you don't have too. I have my gun, money, all I'll need is the van, I don't have enough to buy one." I admitted with a sigh filled with more smoke.

"I was going to move back home with Ash to be with her and her parents." Cody sighed.

"They're only after me, they would have called you letting you know that they know everything. Maxx isn't even coming with me." I wish he was, but I care about him too much.

"That's why you wanted the hair dye? God, Scarlett." He finally got it, it finally stuck.

"You have a gun, ammo?" Now he was just worried.

"I have all that, and I can kick some ass." I smiled sadly at him.

"Could you cut my hair or should I ask Maxx too?" He just sighed.

"I'll ask Maxx to do it. I love you C, don't forget that if anything happens, I'll be okay." I patted his shoulder, putting my cigarette out against the wall of the house.

"Love you too Scar."

I had no choice. I didn't care, this life was far too boring for me. Crime. That was the only thing that made me happy when all that shit went down.

I'm going to miss my long hair.

"Maxx can I ask you for two favours?" He nodded sympathetically and stood up from his seat in the living room.

"Could you cut my hair and could I steal one of your hoodies and bandannas?" He let out a breathy laugh.

"Sure," he knew why. I guess he wasn't mad at me anyway.

"I'm taking the van early tomorrow morning and I'm never coming back." I never noticed, but his eyes were red like he had been crying for hours.

"I'm sorry," he sniffled, a tear ran down his face.

"Don't apologize for anything. None of this is your fault, I'm doing this to keep everyone safe." I seem like an emotionless monster, I didn't even shed one tear about this.

"Just let me come with you. Scarlett please." He pleaded, falling apart in front of me. Fuck.

"Do you really want to live a horrible life of crime and either get put in jail, get killed by cops, or get killed from The Clique and the people who want revenge something I did to someone they knew?" He nodded profusely.

"You changed my life when I first met you! I don't care if I get killed because of you, fuck you've nearly killed me anyway. Scarlett Marie Carson, I love you, I'd do anything for you no matter what it was. I'm coming with you no matter if you want me to or not." He really cared about me, that was a first.

"As long as you don't get me killed." I laughed, kissing his lips, his arms wrapped around my waist pulling me closer. It was so passionate, it was like the end of the world.

I never really knew that much passion could be shown to someone like that.
He chuckled breathlessly resting his forehead against mine as we broke apart.

"And I love you, Maxx fucking Danziger." Why did I say that? Eventually I would have to let him go if we're going to live like this.

"Make sure you have everything, we leave at five a.m." I smiled, grabbing the black hair dye Cody left for me in the hallway and headed to the bathroom, ripping my shirt over my head.

"You're a handful." Maxx laughed to himself. Following me into the washroom he shut the door behind him, grabbing scissors from off the counter.

"You sure you want to cut your hair?" He asked. I could just dye it all black, but The longer the hair the harder it is the take care of.

"It will be easy to take care of." I smiled back at him through the mirror. I have to admit I'm terrified of doing this all over again. It will be us against the world.

"Cut it around my jawline." I sighed, my smile fell from my face. I wish I couldn't feel fear. Time moved so damn slow, each cut of my hair was like I was watching it in slow motion.

"Scarlett?" Ash asked knocking on the outside of the bathroom.

"Yeah, come in!" I put on a smile, hiding my worries.

"I over heard everything you told Cody, I was in the kitchen and the window was open." She admitted.

"I want to come with you, I know Cody will go wherever I go so if it would help him I'd like to come along."

"You could get killed, so could Cody. If Cody and Maxx are coming then Zach and Dan would want too."

"Then let them."

Cody finally came up from downstairs and bursted into his room his back hit the wall fast with a loud thud as he sunk to the floor.

Oh boy.
