13. Epitome

The next day in his Geometry class, Jimin sat there practically fuming. He was expecting his day at school to start like it usually did, which consisted of him taking notes and being a good student. He participated so often in class that his teacher, Mr. Choi, already knew his name off the top of his head by now compared to the rest of the students he hardly knew after weeks into the semester.

But unfortunately for Jimin, today hadn't started like that. For once, he didn't get a good amount of sleep the night before due to his aggressive, alcoholic dad coming home drunk and two, Jungkook showed up and was actually on time to the only class Jimin and him shared early in the morning. Everyone was just as unpleasantly surprised as Jimin was when Jungkook casually strolled into the room taking his seat behind him. Even Mr. Choi was physically stunned for like two and a half seconds when he saw him before starting the lecture like he normal did.

The whole school probably knew that Jungkook was never, ever punctual. And this was the third or fourth time he even came to class since the day Jimin transferred in. The times that he would show up it was half an hour before class ended, he'd just barge in like he owned the place and disrupt the entire class by kicking chairs and other students belongings that were on his way and placing his feet on his desk.

Today's behavior was much more different than those days. In fact, the few days that he did showed up to class, which were four times out of ten, or make that three times out of ten, he usually ignored Jimin. Sure he still placed his feet on top of his desk and would lean back on his chair while Jimin mentally wished that he'd fall back and hit his head, but Jungkook never really acknowledged him and Jimin liked it that way.

Of all days, Jungkook chose today to annoy Jimin as he tried his best to not get the teacher's attention on what was happening behind him while he tried to keep his cool. Jimin didn't know what his deal was since Jungkook just kept nudging his chair, moving his desk forward with his foot to push Jimin with it, and moving around restlessly as he'd 'accidently' hit Jimin with his feet. At one point he smacked Jimin on the back of his head with what felt like his school bag and that's when Jimin had enough of his shit. He turned his head slightly behind him giving Jungkook a deadly glare.

"What the fuck is your deal, asshole?" Jimin whispered beyond pissed, furrowing his eyebrows and clenching his fists. He didn't even know where this foreign boldness came from to speak to his bully like that but that was the last thing on his mind. He heard a low chuckle from behind him and he straightened himself, facing forward to not get in trouble.

"Someone woke up pretty feisty today." Jimin could practically hear the cunning smirk on his face, and oh how he wanted to punch that perfect face of his. Not saying a word Jimin ignored Jungkook, trying to pay attention to the instructor again.

"So you're into dicks, huh?" Jimin heard Jungkook whisper in a taunting manner, Jimin visually choking on his own spit and freezing in place in utter shock at what came out of Jungkook's mouth. He wasn't going to answer that and even if he did, he wouldn't even know what to say. What the fuck was Jungkook going on about? Where did he even get that idea that Jimin was gay? Was it because of what happened yesterday?

And then it hit him. Was Jungkook going to spread rumors about him being gay to the whole school? Oh god, everyone will laugh at him, call him disgusting -- like they don't already -- and bully him for the entirety of his school years. Or worse, he was going to lose his only genuine friends because of it.

That's when Jimin started panicking, his palms sweating and it was getting really hard to swallow. He had to convince Jungkook that he was wrong and that he had a girlfriend before so he couldn't be gay. Anything to stop him from spreading rumours fabricated by his filthy mouth.
