"yooyoo! yoongles! yoongo boongo! yooooooooongi!" jeongguk shouted and whined, tugging at his friends arm. "what?!" yoongi huffed, glaring childishly at jeongguk. "will you split your candy with me tonight? pretty please yoongi-woongi-boongi-moongi-snchoo-" yoongi groaned and covered the other boy's mouth. "yes, now will you shush!?" jeongguk just giggled against the others hand, which was rather cold against his face, so, he licked yoongi's hand. in which said boy pulled his hand away in disgust, wiping the saliva onto jeongguk's shirt.
"now i'm not sharing my candy." yoongi hmph-ed and crossed his arms. jeongguk gasped? engulfing him in a tight hug. "i'm sorryyyy~"
"agh! fine fine! just get off! can't breathe!"
after jeongguk's mommy picked both boys up from school, they came home and rushed to get their costumes on. jeongguk's mother didn't bother them since it was a friday, and it was halloween. yoongi was going as a casual bedsheet ghost, and jeongguk a pirate. "yoongi, when we go to people's houses, you should say hi i'm yoongi the ghost, boo-ngi! get it! ?" jeongguk laughed and giggled until his tummy hurt, while yoongi just shrugged quietly, starring at his costume. "what's wrong honey?" jeongguk's mother squatted down to yoongi, lifting up the sheet to reveal glossy eyes and a quivering lip. "m-my costume isn't good.. it's stupid! i-i won't get candy!" yoongi sniffled out looking down at his shoes.
"oh sweetheart, who said that?" jeongguk's mother pulled the small boy close, embracing him warmly. "s-some kids a- at school.." jeongguk's mother sighed softly, pulling yoongi away a bit, looking him in the eye. "your costume is the coolest, okay honey? those kids are just mean because they can be, their words don't matter. do you think your costume is stupid?"
yoongi shook his head, wiping his face with his arm, mumbling out a small "no". "then, it's not. life is what you believe it to be, okay yoongi? you make things the way they are." yoongi nodded, smiling a bit. "th- thank you mrs. jeon! i-i love you!" jeongguk's mother smiled, cooing softly at the boy, kissing his forehead softly before standing up again. jeongguk huffed, running to yoongi and pulling the sheet down, giving him a tough smile. "your costume is the coolest yooyoo, cooler than mine! and i have a parrot!" yoongi nodded, and the two boys shared giggles.
after they got their pumpkin baskets, jeongguk's mother lead the two boys out for the night- or an our and a half when yoongi almost fell on his face by how sleepy he was.
