jeongguk had taken taehyung's advice, giving yoongi small cards or pictures, pick flowers for him, tell him pretty nothings that just made the shorter boy giggle flushed. it had been a few days of these accruings, and jeongguk was starting to question things. was it bad for him to like yoongi? they're like brothers. but, did he really like yoongi? was it just simple fatal attraction?
within each action jeongguk took to tell yoongi he looked pretty, or he did really well, or give him a small daisy from their school's butterfly garden, there was more and more worry bubbling deep down in his tum. he knew it was a small chance of yoongi returning his feelings, he knew that they were young. not even middle schoolers, yet these feelings felt so strong.
jeongguk groaned into his hands, his eyebrows knitting together. yoongi, who sat beside him, gave him a worried look. they were currently in math, sitting at the carpet trying to solve the lesson. "you okay, kookoo?"
jeongguk didn't reply, his head too fuzzy with fret, he couldn't form a proper reply. he was afraid that if he were to speak, everything would spill out, and it was far too early for that.
yoongi, oblivious of the other boys internal distress, tried again. "jeonggukiee, what's wrong?" jeongguk knew he couldn't just ignore yoongi, so he pushed back his thoughts, shaking his head slightly before looking up, meeting yoongi's gaze.
"yeah, problems just hard."
yoongi hummed, nodding before looking back at his math book. jeongguk sighed inwardly.
'crushes are so difficult.'
there might be a timeskip in the next chap!!
