yoongi sighed quietly as he shuffled his backpack up, the books that he checked out from the library weighing it down. he had to get new books for jeongguk, since he couldn't really leave the house.
yoongi kicked a rock as he walked, scrunching his lips to the side. he missed sharing choco pies with jeongguk at lunch, running around at recess. jeongguk loved to run, he would've joined the track team this year.
yoongi walked up the walkway to the front door, and knocked his special knock. he heard quick shuffling, and shook his head. the door opened, revealing a bed-headed, weary yet excited looking jeongguk. "yooyoo!" jeongguk exclaimed, wrapping around yoongi in a warm embrace.
"yah, you shouldn't be moving so quickly, or yelling. you don't want to strain yourself." yoongi mumbled over jeongguk's shoulder. jeongguk pulled away and rolled his eyes, walking away from the door. yoongi followed, jeongguk leading him to his room.
the pair sat on jeongguk's bed, and yoongi started pulling out the books. "so, i got you the outsiders, it's really good. and, i got you the rest of the harry potter book's you begged for." yoongi set the book's infront of jeongguk.
jeongguk smiled, "thank you yoongi." he replied, grabbing the books and setting them on the nighstand. he shuffled and layed back, setting his head in yoongi's lap. he looked out the window, humming quietly.
jeongguk brought his gaze back to yoongi, "how's sixth grade?" he asked. yoongi hummed, cracking a small smile. "boring without you, jimin's really annoying, gushing about his crush still."
jeongguk reached his hand towards yoongi's head, brushing a bit of hair behind his ear. "the doctors said i could go back next year, and since i've been doing online classes we'll still be in the same level."
yoongi just nodded, smiling fondly down at jeongguk. "can't wait."
