jeongguk and yoongi walked into the seventh grade hall, fingers wrapped around each other's palms. yoongi was looking at his phone, looking at cute sloth videos. jeongguk looked around the halls for jimin, but saw no sign of the boy. 'must've already gotten to class.'
the pair made it to jeongguk's locker, and the boy kissed yoongi's head, mumbling a soft goodbye before walking off. yoongi waved, continuing to walk to his locker.
he opened it, taking off his backpack and setting it inside. he grabbed his notebook and a pencil for his first hour, and closed his locker. he turned, but was met face to face with taehyung.
"jesus fuck!- you can't just stand near someone like that!" yoongi grumbled, crouching down to grab his materials he dropped. taehyung just starred down blankly at yoongi.
yoongis' eyebrows furrowed, he saw that taehyung's eyes looked dull. "what?"
taehyung blinked, "you're actually dating jeongguk?" his voice sounded weary, it was a bit over a whisper. yoongi flushed a bit, "well, we kinda confessed to each other so.. yeah."
taehyung bit his bottom lip, eyes darting away. "okay, cool." his head dropped down, and he started to walk past yoongi. yoongi clicked his tongue and sighed, grabbing taehyung's arm. "okay dipshit, what's wrong?"
taehyung chuckles dryly. "you don't care, i'm just an asshole. right, yoongi?" he sneered, eyes narrowing. yoongi took notice of how the boys eyes glossed over.
"just tell me." yoongi huffed, letting go of taehyung when the boy stopped trying to pull away. taehyung nodded, sucking in a breath before laughing quietly.
"that day, i saw you in class, was the best day of my life," taehyung's head lifted slowly, gaze meeting with yoongi's. "but then you just.. you just didn't ever talk to me. it's like our friendship was nothing." taehyung's voice cracked, and he cleared his throat.
yoongi starred, blinking. he didn't understand what was happening, why taehyung was acting like this. "was i always nothing to you, yoongi?"
