jeongguk is able to go back to school. yoongi is at ease, for the most part. jimin has started to question who's the stressed one. jeongguk is nothing but smiles during the day, constantly pecking yoongi and embracing him.
it's as if the whole hospitalization didn't occur- to jeongguk. jimin asked him about it, at lunch. the boy shrugged it off.
"i've been in and out of hospitals all my life, nothing knew. i'm just glad i can spend time with you two."
yoongi just sighed, and stood up to throw away his tray. jeongguk's smile faltered, and he walked over to the other boy. jimin watched from the table, his stomach pooling with worry.
jeongguk was back, everything should be better. why wasn't it better?
"jimin?"
said boy whipped his head around, and quickly regretted it. there stands kim seokjin, eye full of hope and nervousness.
"seokjin." jimin gave the boy a tight lipped smile, and seokjin returned the gesture with an uneasy one.
"can we, uhm.. can we talk? i really wanna-"
"i don't think we should, seokjin."
seokjin shrunk into himself, and he sighed, staring down at his shoes.
"i know what taehyung said wasn't true, believe me, i do. i just don't.." jimin sighs, rubbing his eyes. "i just don't wanna date and stuff, right now. i have other things to worry over." his eyes dart to jeongguk and yoongi, who are still talking near the edge of the cafeteria.
seokjin nods, lifting his head up and giving jimin a warmer, more full, smile.
"well, i hope we can try, sometime. have a good day."
jimin nodded to the boy, and seokjin walked off. jimin sighed as he picked up his and jeongguk's tray, dumping them both and setting them onto the counter.
he walks over to his two friends, who seemed to have talked it through. their hands are intertwined, and his smile grows.
"you two are so gay."
they all share laughter.
