2-3 days passed. But Neil wasn't allowed to even see her in the hospital. Finally he came up with a plan. He went to the commissioner and said "Sir you only gave me the responsibility to investigate into her case. I have to take her statement." He went with an excitement. "Which case officer?" The commissioner asked. "Sir? She got shot." He said anger boiling him again. "We closed that case." He replied back sternly. "But the culprit is not caught." He shot. The comm.. sighed. "Go. I'll accompany you." Neil was feeling his plan got backfired. I wanted to meet her alone. She'll not tell me with him by my side. "Yes." He said while guiding him towards her room. He entered. She looked in the direction of the door, her eyes ready to attack. His eyes found hers. You have got to tell me now. There's no other chance. Neil quickly told her. He went and sat on her bedside. "How are you?" He asked politely. "Be..better. Breathing is still difficult." She replied in an equal manner. The commissioner cleared his throat. What do you want? Go love someone and then feel. Idiot. For the first time she is talking to me nicely. Neil thought while clenching his fists together. "Tell me what exactly happened. " He said. "He..he just dragged me to the corner. He..was threatening me." She stopped not wanting to tell further. She was on the verge of tears. "For what?" He asked. "For..for raping me if..if I did not break out with her. Ragini." She whispered. Neil was hell angry. Silent tears flowed from her eyes. He had never seen her so vulnerable. Never so scared. He went and hugged her. "Hey it's okay. Hm?" He said while patting her back. "Rest you know." She whispered again. "Avni what about you wanted to tell me." Neil said so slowly only she could hear. She broke the hug. Understand. "Earth wanted revenge from the sun. The sky. For drying her. Killing her land. We think that she directly took revenge. But no. She sent lightning and storm to do it. They hid it completely. That's how it happened." She paused looking at him expectantly. He was looking down. His eyes were moving to and fro in an oscillation. He looked up. "And?" He asked. Avni was relieved. "The lightning started a fire. You know that fire and ice don't go together. Water will only ignite it. I don't want to say anything else." Saying this she looked the other way. Neil finally looked up. "Take care." "Yeah you should. You are going back to the jail now." The com. said. "WHAT?" Neil bellowed. "Are you out of your mind? She isn't fully fine yet!" He got up now. "She's a criminal. She doesn't deserve this treatment." Neil just shook his head. "If anything happens to her, I will kill you. Mark my words." He said. He was about to kiss her on the forehead but was stopped by the clearing of the throat by the commissioner. By this only Neil realised that he was actually there. "Taken?Let's leave then." He asked. "Yes." Neil replied. But his mind was somewhere else. What are you trying to say? "She was just blabbering like an idiot. Fire,water I don't know what all. Cackling. Like a fire. What a coincidence that the meaning of her name is also fire." He said while laughing. Neil was angry now. But suddenly he realised what he just said. Her name means fire. Is every object in there a person who are involved? Excitement brewed up in him.
After a few hours Avni was discharged from the hospital. She went to the jail. There was a sudden cool chill in the air which sent shivers down her spine. She looked around. There was no one to be seen. Suddenly she heard a scream. A very loud one. "Sun...sunheri?'' It was definitely her voice. Her screams made her so scared. "Ah! Goddess Durga! Hail you! With your blessings we are going to end this illicit soon." Avni turned around. As soon as she did it she faced a tight slap on her face. She fell down with a thud. She held her waist as it was paining. She managed to look up. "Ragini!" Ragini held her hair. She also screamed. Her head was throbbing badly like it may burst. "Dare you say my name." She warned. Then as an another warning, Sunheri came out. Her face was read and finger marks were clearly visible on her face. Tears were there on her face as well as in her eyes. Her hair was messed. Stick marks were there on her arms. "They are getting a mere punishment. For raising their voice. YOU will get a harder one. You'll pay for your life. Because my son loves you. He is ready to leave me for it. I'll kill you." She warned, again. "Wh..who will take you out then?" "There is no relief in it. Police will still find me. Killing you will give me relief." She said walking away.
"I can't believe that I am going to ask you. But Neil if you are hearing,please save me. Please. I hope it reaches." She said while joining her hands.
I am going to take you out. I can feel something is not fine. Like something will happen to you. Be safe sweetheart.
