What to do? I did really wrong with her. I'll go to her office and talk to her. Neil decided and ran his palms across his face. An act of stress. He went to his car and drove to her office. Divorce papers bhi sign kar diye. (I even signed the papers). He cursed his sheer dumb luck. He was in the lift thinking about plans to pacify her. He didn't know when he reached. The guard ondoor asked about his identity. I thought I was famous. Neil womdered and showed his police ID card. "Any problem in office? Why is the police here?" The guard asked and was about to alarm the others but Neil made him quiet. "I need to see Avni Khanna. Say someone's here to meet her." Neil hushed. "Who are you?" The guard asked dramatically. "Just go. And tell that I can wait." Neil said. It was better if they talked alone. Evening was rushing in. Everyone would go and he could corner her and ask. The guard went to a distraught Avni. "Ma'am someone's here to visit you." He told her. "Who's it?" She asked. "I don't know. He's so...Leave it." He said shrugging. "Tell him to wait. I have some important works." Avni ordered and the poor guy told the same and Neil accepted.
Neil waited and waited. Avni was frustrated. Her work was so endless. It was getting dark so she decided to complete it in her home. Wait for a taxi with this bundle. The car had to break down today only. Another colleague of her was going but she stopped her. "Kriti can you drop me?" She asked politely. "Sure." Kriti replied and they went.
Seein Avni coming towards him, he prepared himself. Avni saw him and stopped abruptly. "Are you coming?" Kriti asked, snapping her fingers in front of her. "Not actually. I came to take her. She's my wife over here you see." Neil replied for Avni. Kriti shrugged her shoulder and before Avni could say anything, she went. "What did you do?" She yelled at him. "Avni look I'm sorry. I...I had no idea she was lying. I'm really sorry. Please forgive me." Neil asked trying to hold her but she didn't allow. "Wow Neil Khanna. First you trust your sister and kick me out of the house. You raise hand on me because you trust her more. And then you say sorry? And expect me to come back to you, forgetting everything. By forgetting every act of dishonesty and doubt you did. And what are you doing here at my workstation? Spying? Checking your doubt that I meet boys or not?" She shouted and Neil was suddenly glad that the office was empty. "Look that's not what I meant. But seriously I'm sorry. I don't doubt you. I know you only love me." Neil tried again only to get a payback in return. "I loved you." She corrected him. Sge stormed out leaving behind a helpless Neil.
I need to justify myself.
He went down to atleast drop her but she was gone. He rolled his eyes, desperate for some help. He called his only support system. "Neela Ma please help me." Neil cried. "What happened?" She asked. "Vo Avni she's angry. Very much. How do I pacify her? I can't go to her home because Ashish uncle is there." Neil said. "Neil! Why does this happen everytime?" She asked, frustrated. "Do one thing. We shifted her to the first floor room due to Ashish. Peek in and talk to her." Neela suggested. "If.. she's not there?" Neil raised a possibility. "Then on terrace. Talking to stars." Neela said and hung up.
Neil used his police training and climbed to the first floor. Avni was not there. Terrace maybe. He went and was about to say "AVNI!" but stopped and hid as Ashish was there with her.

"Tell which one's Ma?" Avni asked pointing to the sky. Ashish hummed and pointed to the brightest star in sky. "Correct papa. I talk to her everyday. Now I have to work. Can you get another cup of coffee?" She asked. Ashish nodded politely and went while Neil changed his position to remain out of sight. Avni's phone rang and she began talking about her project. The marble terrace was somewhat wet, making chances slipping. Avni was roaming on the marbles kept, not paying attention. "Avni you'll fall, stay this side." Neil warned. Avni looked at his direction surprised. Due to this sudden reaction, her foot slipped. She fell across the railing boundareing the end. Neil watched as she screamed for someone to save her.
