Nightmares..

Avni's pov
I didn't dare to look at him once. Even once. Just turned on my heels and went. Was it too rude? Shake it off. It wasn't. And why do I care? Why? Leave it.
With these thoughts in mind, she went towards her cell. As soon as she stepped in,the guard locked the door. We are unbelievable,right? Yeah. Especially her. She chuckled at her own thought. She paced to and fro. Finally, she went to sleep being so exhausted. Sleep. The thing which was so impossible for her from past eight months was seeming so meaningless and simple right now. She dozed off like never before. Was it because of his presence? We know it was but would she, his lady don, ever admit it? No. Obviously not. He passed through all the cells and finally arrived at her's. He smiled at the sight in front of her. What he saw was a girl sleeping peacefully just like a baby through the black bars. Jail bars. The smile turned to a frown and eventually a sigh that too a deep one. Suddenly he heard some muttering. "Do... don't to....touch hi....him.. I sa..said le...leave him al...alone." she continuously muttered in a panic stricken voice. He also panicked seeing her like this. He just wanted to go and console her. Hug her as humanly as possible. But he couldn't just do it. He was not allowed. He shooed away the guard and said he'll look. No one else could see her,them as her cell was in the dampest area which severely hurt him squarely in the chest,on his heart which beats for her. Only her. He leaned in to know what she was saying. Again the ones. Don't touch him. Leave him alone. Or you will be killed by me. But her shivers grew more wild. "DON'T.... DON'T LEA... LEAVE M..ME PLEASE." She shrieked so loudly that it made his heart jump. He was responsible for them both. Making her sleep. Giving nightmares. Sleep isn't meant for her. He sighed heavily. Her shrieks grew more wild. He couldn't resist. Not anymore. He took the keys and unlocked the door and quickly went to her. He shaked her so hard. "Av...get up. No one is here. Ple..please..see no one is in. Get up. Please." His heart ached to see her in this condition. "Please. Get up. No one is here. You don't have to kill anyone. You never did. He won't-" he paused. He was unaware who she was talking about. "He won't leave you. Okay?" Still no affect. He began to panic more. Suddenly she woke up with a loud gasp and began stammering. "Vid.... Vidyut is going to kill him. He's going to kill Neil. Save him." She pleaded. Begged. Then she saw who she was talking to is Neil himself she was relieved and quickly hugged him. She didn't care if it was humanly or not. Just hugged him. Her touch sent shivers to his body.
Aadat nahi rahi. (The habit which was there is no longer now.)
She was touching him like that after eight months. So close to him after eight months. She was snuggling into him like anything. He hugged her back very tightly. Avni didn't realise that she hated him. "Shh..No one is going to kill me. See I'm here. Am I not? Hm. Tell me?" He said while caressing her hair. He particularly touched the golden streak. How much he loved it. Her hair still manged to smell so sweet. He just wanted to be there for his lifetime. But he knew he couldn't. He broke the hug and cupped her face now covered with tears. "Don't be scared. Hm? I am here. I won't leave you alone. I promise. Even if you want to. Hm? Now smile!" He said very politely. "Promise?" She asked,unsure. "Promise." This time she smiled. He wiped her tears. He didn't want to let go. He tried. She was not in her senses. Not yet. His eyes lingeres between hers and her lips. He came closer. He could feel her nervous and sweet breaths. He was about to press his lips to hers when she came back to her senses and pushed him away hardly. "Avni lis-" "NO. Stay away. Stay. Away." She shrieked pushing herself backwards against the wall. He tried to come but in vain. "JUST GO!'' she yelled again. Neil went away without arguing because he knew he couldn't. She just sat her head in her knees. She slapped herself to bring herself to reality. "Avni don't be weak. Just a mistake. Let go. Let it go." And slapped herself again.
Both sat thinking about what juat happened. Only one of them was aware that however all ties were broken,they were still connected by souls.
