Restart.

When Avni had slept, still keeping her hands on chest he laid her in a correct posture and went out.

He ran across Neela.

"Ma where are the others?" He asked looking around.

"Ashish went to Ayesha Ji's house." She replied sighing deeply.

"Ab uney kya daure pade hain jo ekdum se vaha chale gaye?( What new fit has he got that he went there?") Neil asked with distaste in his mouth.

"Don't say like this. Sasur hai tumhare." Neela chided him while Neil gave her a whatever look.

"The way Avni was ousting him, he said he's still not forgiven. He wants to live alone. With the last of Ayesha." Neela explained.

Okay, so Neil did feel bad for him.

"Ali has taken Amol to take charge of his employment. Ali feels Avni is herself so ravelled so she couldn't be stressed further over him." She added.

"Matlab the house is empty tomorrow right?" Neil asked.

"Yeah I'll be out too. Why?" Neil explained everything to her.

"Just dress her up into her swimsuit. Okay?" Neil ordered politely, if that's something.

"Why don't you do yourself?" Neela mocked making Neil blush.

" Ma You know we've not been into that level of our relationship. We're fine and comfortable this way. So let it be. We're happy. She's happy. That's what I want." Neil gave a reply, while Neela planted a motherly kiss on his forehead.

"Vaise ek baat bolu?" Neil said, grinning, Neela nodded.

"You're just 15 years older than me right? Agar thoda kum aur hota na, my first crush would've been you." He said, grinning shamelessly.

"Badmaash" Neela muttered, hit him playfully and went.

The next morning,
Neela came out of their room giving a thumbs up and went to her office.

Neil went near her and patted her cheeks. "Get up Avni. Itna sogi kya? Just get up!" Neil shouted, she got up with a jerk and looked at him horribly.

He tied a cloth on her eyes. "Neil what are you doing?" She asked. "You said you'd follow my commands right? So what happened now?" Neil asked.

"Okay let me brush atleast!" She complained.

Neil made her brush and picked her on his back. Her legs wrapped around his waist, and arms around his neck.

She was still sleeping, completely unaware what he planned.

He set her near the pool. He was aware of her fear of water but koi ni.

He untied the cloth, picked her again and with a loud thud and splash in water, he threw her into the taller than her height pool.

She seemed to have woken up and was screaming continuously for him.

"HELP ME NEIL!" She yelled struggling to get up but was so scared, the watet kept pushing her down.

"NO! YOU NEED TO GET OVER THE WATERS OF THE PAST! AND I WANT TO RENAME OUR PAST! THIS IS HOW WE MET AND LET'S CHANGE IT!" He yelled back.

Her face came up and he knelt near the edge. "Come on Avni!" He urged, but even in the water gushing out of her hair, he could see her tears.

She panted heavily and maybe was drowning and he jumped.

He swam in where her struggles had neutralised. He held her from her waist and swam upwards. They rose to the water, earning a loud gasp from her.

Neil cupped her one cheek, still holding her. "It's okay!" He muttered while she hugged him tightly. Her whole body was shaking vigorously, with sobs and with her breathing.

"M..my bullet wounds aren't closed. I co...cou..could die.", She spoke heavily.

"You're scared alright? Nothing of that sort is gonna happen." He said kissing her hair.

"I'm an asthmatic patient!" She said while Neil was taken by surprise.

"You never told me." He whispered.

"That'd make me weak." She whispered back, still clinging to him. Her life depended upon him.

"Look, you need to lift the burden off your heart. You just need to. You need to overcome your fears. Okay? Let's just start from where we did. You need to swim. You panic, the past will try its best to drown you. But we need to show it that we're no longer dependent upon it. That we're no longer willing to be enslaved by it. Show it! You have suffered a past worse than the worst experiences. When Neela Ma told me about it, I was crying. I was afraid to even sleep. It was giving me nightmares Av. I used to see the pain and fear in your eyes. I know it's difficult for you. But if you remain like this, you'd never be brave. Brave is someone who conquers their fears. Let your biggest fear be fear. I know we met horribly. We acted horribly. Life was horrible until the first year of us. Can we reshape that first year. Can we live in the moment called Present. Thinking about the past bring fears. Eliminate it. And you're not alone. I'm there to help you. Let's start. Let's restart. Hm?" He said breaking apart and staring at her straight in the eye.

"I can't do this. I don't know how to" She said looking down.

After sometime, she spoke up
"Promise that you won't treat me differently because I'm weak." She asked, her lip quivering.

"You're the bravest person I've never known." He said.

"I don't want to be treated differently." She said.

"I'll keep you in the best way possible. But not differently. I swear." Neil promised her.

"I'll teach you." He said. He moved backwards, slowly. "Don't leave me. I know nothing." She shrieked. Fear was vivid in her eyes. He held her both hands firmly and kept the straight.

"Face down, deep breath." Neil said. She shook her head.

He urged and she did. He moved backwards, while Avni was moving in the front, paddling her feet.

He stopped after a while, and she rose to the surface with a loud gasp.

"Almost there. Go on." He said and made her practice.

Soon the fear seemed to go, though she was still scared when she stopped.

Neil was playing with her inside, laughing merrily, splashing water at each other.

Finally when they stopped, Avni still had her legs draped and soon they entangled themselves into a kiss, as he descended down into the water.

And that was probably the best underwater kiss of all time.

When they rose again, he smiled at her and said "Wanted to do this, the first time we met. You ruined everything."

Neil was happy for one thing.
Unknowingly, she was lifting the walls of her heart, the walls which confined her in a world of dark. And he was going to make her enter into a life of joy and happiness. Which she never recieved.
