She Didn't Have Time

Chapter 24

(Demi's pov)
I feel like today is going to be a good day because today Leah and I are going Christmas shopping because Christmas is coming very soon and I haven't bought Darryl anything yet for everything he's done for me and Leah.

I got out of bed and started walking to my closet to find something to wear I picked out a pink woolly sweater with a pair of jeans.

After I grabbed my clothes I quickly put them on then I started walking over to Leah's bed.

"Good morning sweetie." I said as I put Leah in my arms.

"Good morning Mommy." Leah replied smiling as I put her on the bed.

"Guess what we are doing today ?" I asked with a smile on my face as I started finding some clothes for Leah to wear.

"What." Leah answered as I found her Dora t shirt.

"We are going to go shopping with Sirah." I said smiling as I started putting the for a shirt on her.

"Yay !" Leah exclaimed as she started clapping her hands in excitement.

I just smiled at her as I started putting a pair of pink pants on her.

After I put the pants on her I put Leah up in my arms then we started walking to follow the delicious smell that tickled my nose.

"Good morning my beautiful Angels." Darryl said as he saw Leah and I walk closer to him.

"I thought you had work ?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"I got a call from work and they said that they are giving me three days off from work." Darryl replied smiling as he started flipping the pancakes over.

"Why ?" I asked.

"Probably because I have been working for six days." Darryl answers as he puts a pancake on a plate.

"Looks like Daddy is coming shopping with us." I said as I looked at Leah.

"Yay !" Leah squealed.

"What do you mean I'm going shopping with you and Leah ?" Darryl asked as he started putting the other pancakes on two other plates.

"We have a Christmas celebration to put together and we need to buy stuff to make the turkey and stuff to go with it." I replied as I started listing stuff we needed off the top of my head.

"Well before we go shopping we should eat first then you can go all crazy with this Christmas thing." Darryl said as he walked over to the fridge to get the maple syrup.

"I'm not going to go "crazy" it's just we can't have frozen pizza for Christmas dinner." I responded with an annoyed tone in my voice.

"Why not?" Darryl asked jokingly while putting the maple syrup on the table.

I just walked over to the kitchen and started hitting him on the shoulder.

"Darryl, I'm serious it's our first Christmas together with both of our families so we have to make it special." I answered as I put Leah in her high chair.

"I know you are I was just joking." Darryl said as he started handing me Leah's plate with a fork and a knife.

"Did you make these ?" I asked as I started cutting up Leah's pancakes.

"Yup and I added blueberries in the batter." Darryl answered smiling as he started pouring orange juice in Leah's sippy cup.

"They smell delicious." I said as I started pouring some syrup over Leah's pancakes.
