She Didn't Have Time

Chapter 18

(Demi's pov)
I can't believe that Leah is with me now safe and sound because I have had the worst week of my life and for that whole week all I cared about was Leah not the baby that me and Darryl are expecting.

I got out of bed and started searching through my closet to look for something to wear so I picked out just a pink sweater with a pair of leggings.

After I picked out my clothes I walked out of the bedroom to go to the bathroom to change.

As I got out of the bathroom I saw Darryl looking through his closet.

"Good morning handsome." I said as I walked into the bedroom.

"Good morning beautiful." Darryl replied as he walked away from his closet to give me a passionate morning kiss.

"Darryl I got to tell you something." I said as I let go of Darryl's lips.

"What is it beautiful ?" Darryl asked looking at me.

"We should go to the hospital to get a ultrasound." I smiled.

"When?" Darryl asked with a serious look on his face.

"After you get changed." I replied smiling.

"Sounds good with me." Darryl said as he walked back to his closet.

"Perfect I'll go call Sirah to baby sit Leah til we come back from the hospital!" I exclaimed as I raced out of the bedroom to call Sirah.

I haven't been this excited since I was pregnant with Leah.

I walked down the hall to grab the phone to call Sirah.

(Phone call)

I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hey Sirah! I need you to babysit Leah because I need to go to the hospital and get a ultrasound done I'll pay you when I get back." I said with a smile on my face.

"Sure I will be there right away. " Sirah answered.

"Thanks you're the best !" I squealed with excitement.

"See you soon." Sirah hung up the phone.

(End of phone call)

"What did Sirah say ?" Darryl asked as he walked into the living room with Leah in his arms.

"She'll do it !" I squealed as I kissed Leah's cheek.

"That's great." Darryl said as his eyes widen with amazement.

"Sirah's coming ?" Leah asked with a confused look on her face.

"Yes sweetie Sirah's coming over to baby sit you while me and Daddy go to the hospital and see if you're getting a baby brother or sister." I explained as I started to hold Leah's tiny hand.

"I don't want you guys to go." Leah replied trying not to cry.

"Leah sweetie, your mom and I are coming back from the hospital and if you be a good girl I'll buy you something from the gift shop." Darryl said looking at Leah.

"Really?" Leah asked sweetly.

"Yes sweetie I will just be a good girl to Sirah and you will get something." Darryl replied as he kissed Leah's cheek.

"I promise I will." Leah said smiling.

"Are you sure ?" Darryl asked with a friendly tone in his voice.

"Yes Daddy I'm sure." Leah replied innocently.

"Pinky swear?" Darryl asked with a smile on his face while sticking out his pinky.
