Chapter 21

Seth's POV

It was Monday night and all I could think about was Daniella and how the words she said on Friday were true. I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed as I had to wait for Randy to finish so we can go out to our match. I was walking down the curtain when I head Daniella on the phone talking to someone.

"I know, I'm so excited for you to be there at Battleground, yeah you've got backstage passes. Haha well I have to go but I'll call you later, I love you, ok bye."

I turned around and kept walking to the curtain tasking a deep breath before running out. I tried to focus on the match against Roman and John but I keep imagining Daniella in the back of my head.

My day dream is cut short when I see Randy reaching for me to tag in. I tag in but I can't focus right so I get hit with the superman punch from Roman. I feel my knees go weak and my face meets the mat as I lay there seeing stars swirl around me and Daniella laughing in my head.

I can hear the count and I try to kick out but I can't. It didn't matter, we were supposed to lose anyways. I slowly get up from the mat to see Daniella and Nikki walking down to the ring. They look at me with raised eyebrows and Daniella points for me to get out of the ring for their tag team match. I slowly roll out of the ring and I can see Daniella smiling at something Nikki said.

Once I get backstage I can see Eva and Cameron walk by laughing. I watch the TV and see Daniella and Nikki messing with each other and acting all crazy. I smile as I see Daniella laugh hysterically but I'm cut out of my train of thought when I see Hunter walking towards me.

"Hey Hunter." I say casually.

"Look Seth, I'm gonna need you to be the referee for the divas match cause the other referee got sick." Hunter tells me.

I suddenly feel a shirt being tossed at me and Hunter walking away.

"Oh, and don't try anything stupid okay?" I hear him ask me.

"Okay."

Daniella's POV

I was in the ring with Nikki talking when I saw Seth come down the ring in a referee shirt on. I groan and look at Nikki and we both shared the same look on our faces. He signals the bell to ring for the match to start and I quickly lock up with Eva Marie.

Seth was actually being fair to me and Nikki which was really shocking. I jump off the top rope and land on Cameron with ease and I quickly go for the pin.

"1..2..3!" I hear Seth shout. I stand up quickly and hug Nikki. Seth raises our arms and I glance over at him to see him staring at my ring. I roll my eyes and hug Nikki again before we get out of the ring.

"Why was Seth staring at your ring? I mean, it's like he doesn't want you wearing it." Nikki asks me once we get backstage.

"I don't know and frankly, I don't want to know why he was staring at it." I tell her.

We walk to the locker rooms and gather our stuff to leave but we're interrupted by Stephanie walking in. I look at Nikki and we automatically feel nervous.

"Look girls, I just want to invite you two to the last segment of the show with all the winners of their matches tonight." Stephanie explains.

Nikki and I agree so we won't get in trouble by The Authority, even though I have a match with them. I look at the clock and we only have 30 minutes to get ready so we quickly take a shower and start changing.

Nikki was wearing a bright pink dress with straps, matching it with some black heels. I on the other hand was wearing a simple black blouse and white pants with my vans.

We walk out to the curtain and we're greeted by Randy and Seth. I mentally groan and look at Nikki with annoyance.

"What are you two doing? This next segment is for the people who won their match." Randy asks us.

"Stephanie invited us since Nikki and I won our match tonight. Why are you guys here, didn't you two lose tonight?" I tell him before focusing back to the TV.

Randy was about to say something but Seth elbowed him. I smirked and faced the small TV with Nikki smiling at me.

I could hear Stephanie and Hunter talking in the ring. He calls out everyone who won starting with the Wyatts.

Then they called out Stardust and Goldust. I shift on my feet as I can feel Seth staring at me. They finally call everyone else before us out and that's when they call me and Nikki's names.

"The winners of the diva tag team match, Nikki and Daniella!" Stephanie says.

Everyone starts cheering as we walk out and we start high fiving some of the fans before walking to the ring. John holds the bottom rope for us and Nikki stands by him, leaving me to stand by her other side.

Hunter calls out Seth and Randy even though they lost their match. I roll my eyes and cross my arms in front of me. Seth and Randy shakes Hunter and Stephanie's hand, before standing with the other superstars.

Hunter starts talking about how the people in the ring are winners and how no matter the outcome of their matches, they'll always be winners. I try by best not to roll my eyes since the camera was going to everyone's faces.

I look around the ring and I see the Wyatts staring at me from their corner. I quickly turn around and I look straight ahead trying to ignore his stares. Hunter and Stephanie call all the winners to say something to the crowd, which was plain stupid.

Stephanie hands Bray the microphone before standing next to Hunter again. Bray starts laughing and I cringe at the sound of it.

"This match that I had against the one you call, R-Truth, was simply a match that I dedicated to Abigail." Bray says.

Everyone gives him a confused look as he keeps talking.

"We have finally found Abigail, and she's here right now. If you can show us Abigail on the tiantron please." Bray says laughing.

Everyone in the ring looks at the tiantron waiting, when I suddenly see my face pop up. My eyes get big and I slowly turn around to see Bray looking at me. I grab Nikki's arm and I see Hunter looking as shocked as everyone else.

I feel my heart start pounding as he starts walking towards me and Nikki. We try walking the other way but we're face to face with Harper, then we turn around Rowan is on the other side. I look at the Wyatts scared and I hold on to the ropes.

Suddenly I see familiar faces get in the ring and attack them from behind. I quickly get out of the ring to see Roman, Dean, and surprisingly Seth fighting the Wyatts. I watched as the Wyatts were on the floor and Dean quickly walked over to me.

"You alright Daniella?" Dean asks me.

I simply nod my head and watch as Bray gets up and looks at me. He gets on his knees and holds his arms yelling follow the buzzard.

"He's sick in the head. He's crazy Dean." I tell him as soon as I get backstage. He hugs me and tells me it's going to be alright.

I look at Roman and he's sticking his thumbs up at me. I smile and let go over of Dean and looking at Seth.

"Umm thanks, for saving us out there." I say awkwardly. He nods his head and Nikki takes me back to the divas room and we hurry up and get to the rental car before driving off.
