You Know

I woke up with arms still around me, it made me smile. I rolled over to look at the sleeping man next to me. There was a knock at the door so I rolled my eyes and got up, opening the door only to see Sam and Corey.

"Hi," I rubbed my eye as I spoke.

"Sorry to wake you. Is Colby awake?"

"No, sorry"

"It's fine"

"What did you want anyway?"

"We were wondering if he wanted to hang out"

"Oh, sorry to tell you but I'm stealing him for the day"

"Understandable, Kat said she would do that, too if she didn't have to work"

"Glad you understand" they both nod and leave so I shut the door and walk over to Colby's closet, taking a shirt and a pair of my own shorts. I changed into them and started to brush through my hair as I walked into the bathroom. I was brushing through the ends of my hair as the door opened, I peered through the mirror and saw Colby.

"Oh, hey. I thought you had left or something"

"Now, why would I do that? I'm stealing you for the day"

"I have nothing against that"

"It wasn't your choice anyway" he chuckled as he walked past me to a comb with which he brushed his hair. I put mine into a half up half down style. That's when I started to work on my makeup, with nothing else to do Colby left the bathroom. I didn't know where he went but I was sure he didn't go far. Eventually, I walked into Colby's room to get my phone. As he wasn't in there, I decided I would go find him. I got to the bottom of the stairs but the whole house was silent. Odd. That's when I heard voices so I followed them to the garage, they instantly stopped the second I stepped through the door. 

"Oh! Chloe! Hey!" Devyn exclaimed.

"Um, hi. Why are all of you in here?"

"Uh, no reason. Just talking"

"We normally do that inside the actual house"

"True" Kat awkwardly nodded her head. 

"Ok, weirdos I'm going inside" I turned and walked to the game room when I got a text.

Alex- Hey hun, how are you? We haven't spoken in ages

Me- OMG I know, Colby's been on tour so I stayed at the house. I didn't want to wake you up every night

Alex- Girl, I wouldn't have minded but ok

Alex- How about we meet up?

Me- Tomorrow?

Alex- Yeah ok

Me- See you

Alex- See ya hun

I looked up from my phone to see Kat, Devyn, Sam, and Corey standing in the hallway, just standing.

"What is up with you guys today?" I asked. They seemed to snap out of a trance and walked away after an awkward smile. Colby walked over to me, sitting down. "What's going on that I don't know about?"

"What?"

"You're all acting weird today"

"There's nothing going on"

"I will find out you know"

"Not if I can distract you" he smirked so I playfully rolled my eyes. As he started to lean in I held up a hand.

"Not down here" he sighed as a joke so I giggled.

"Sooorry"

"It's ok" we sat and talked where we were for a while, eventually deciding to go up to Colby's room. As I had promised, I kept him for the whole day, we wouldn't even answer knocks.
