I had just walked through my door when I noticed the message on my phone.
Devyn- How dare you leave me!
Me- I know I'm so sorry!
Devyn- It's OK, they're just joking about being left out
Me-Wow, I expected better from them
Devyn- ikr
Devyn- 😂
Me- 😂
Me- I should be back soon so just endure them for now?
Devyn- ooooook
Me- Thank youuuuu
Devyn- You owe me
Me- Fine, see you
Devyn- See ya
I finally picked up my bag of clothes and walked back to my car. As I placed the bag in the passenger seat I noticed someone out of the corner of my eye; when I turned I saw Brennen.
"Brennen! Hey"
"Hi"
"How come you're over here?"
"My, um... don't tell Colby"
"Don't tell him what?"
"My girlfriend lives in this building"
"WHAT? Since when did you have a girlfriend"
"One week. I'm not ready to tell him yet"
"It's fine, we've all had to keep a secret at some point in our lives"
"OK, thanks so much"
"No problem... name?"
"Kayla"
"Ooo, cute name"
"I know"
"Send me a pic of her later, yeah?"
"I don't know..."
"You don't have to"
"If you don't mind..."
"No it's fine. I gotta go now though cus I'm going to the house. See you whenever, Brennen"
"Bye" he said as I sat in the driver seat of my two year old car.
"Bye!" I called, driving away. Eventually I had pulled up on the driveway of my boyfriend and best friend's house. I picked up the bag and walked through the front door, I was instantly met by someone walking in front of me. I fell on my butt. "Owww" I groaned, looking up. There stood a guy I didn't know.
"Sorry, I'm Gabe"
"Sorry? Who?"
"My brother" Colby said from the living room where - thanks to my luck - the whole house was sitting.
"Oh, great" he walked over and helped me up, I pecked him and said thanks before walking up the stairs to his room. Finally walking back on my phone - this time watching where I was going at the same time.
"There's the girl my brother is driven crazy by" Colby threw a pillow at Gabe and instantly started blushing.
"Shut up" he said sitting back again.
"Just saying" Gabe teased.
"It's not like we all don't already know" Corey said as he turned his head to look at me.
"Nuh-uh, no looking at me. Attention over there people" I pointed to Colby.
"I'd love to say I feel bad for Colby but I really don't because it's so funny" Devyn held back laughs as she spoke.
