WOW. It's finally here! My deepest apologies for keeping you all waiting for so long. Let's just call this one the early Christmas hiatus 😬🙈. Anyway, thank you so so much to the few who have professed their love to this story! It warms my heart more than you can imagine!
ANYWAY.
Okay, I don't know how some of you do it, but I just can't do the GIFS 😳. I just had to give it up. THERE ARE SO MANY and I legit had 128 of them in an album on my phone at one point and was like, oh no, this has gotta stop 🤦🏼♀️. So yeah, I definitely will just stick to Faceover, Prisma filters and my imagination 🤷🏼♀️. I'm gonna be sharing a series of some of my edits for each chapter. If you want to use them, that's cool, just ask before taking and give credit, pretty please. Pretty proud of Chapter 8's edits if I do say so myself 😏. All of them have comic book art vibes 😎. Anyway, without further ado, here is Chapter 8! 👏🏻😆

CHAPTER 8
DEVILS CROSSINGRebekah froze as she looked at Hope, who was staring right through her with her vampiric, dark as night, eyes and black, pulsating veins flowing through her body. Her first instinct was to throw down, like she would have normally done when she felt threatened, but this was a child that she loved. Her feet were glued to the ground as she continued to watch Hope stare her down. Something was taking over her body and she felt completely clueless as to who or what it was.
"Hope... I know you're in there. Listen to my voice! Don't let this take you! Fight this!" Rebekah's voice shook as she slowly tried to back away, but before she could even blink, Hope was suddenly standing inches away from her, practically nose to nose. As far as Rebekah knew, Hope was gone and the darkness that had been lurking inside of her had finally come out to play. Hope was breathing heavily and then revealed an eerie and terrifyingly sinister grin at her.
"You have no power over me." Hope's voice bellowed. It was much deeper and aggressive than usual, more proof that she was under some type of possession. Rebekah tried to flash away to the door, but it slammed before her. She turned around and looked at her, wide eyed and terrified. She wasn't scared of being hurt, that she could handle, it was the fact that this was happening to Hope and she couldn't help her. There was no point in negotiating with her, whatever this was, it wasn't going down without a fight. She knew if there was a ruckus, Elijah would hear and come to her rescue and hopefully be able to help her restrain Hope. With a quick thought, Rebekah looked to the bookshelf that was leaning up against the wall and without hesitation, grabbed it with full force and watched it slam hard into the floorboards. It was sure to grab her Brothers' attention. She was certain Elijah was there, but forgot that she told Nik to practically piss off and was immediately regretting ever telling him to leave, because she could really use his help right about now.
The slamming of the bookshelf set Hope off and she lunged at Rebekah and crushed her fist into her chest, causing her to let out an agonizing scream as she felt Hope wrap her fingers around her heart, attempting to tear it out of her, but hesitated as she became distracted by distant heavy footsteps. Rebekah had no choice but to fight back and grabbed Hope's arm with force, attempting to remove it from her chest cavity. Like clockwork, Elijah busted through the door, not believing his eyes as he saw the way his niece looked and what she was doing to Rebekah. His entrance caused Hope's neck to quickly snap in his direction, her sinister gaze sent a shiver down Elijah's spine. He had seen plenty of evil in his very long life, but this was by far the worst. With Hope distracted by Elijah, Rebekah latched onto Hope's arm with both of her hands and removed it from her chest. She quickly got behind her and locked her head in between her forearm and elbow, squeezing as tightly as she could, knowing that she was too strong for it to do remotely any damage.
