Memories of Jungkook and his hyungs played through his mind.

Thoughts of wild laughter and chatter, skinships that show their brotherly affections for one another. Everyone picking on him because he was the "maknae".

Then they grew up, each gotten jobs and life choices as their owns, him and Jimin fell in love.

Started a small art studio together, Seokjin became an actor, Taehyung a photographer and artist, Yoongi a producer, Namjoon took over his fathers buisness, Hoseok was a choreographer who occasionally taught at a nearby college.

They still tried to stay close.

Then Jungkook shoved them away.

He still feels sad and resentment towards his actions and he does miss his hyungs. It was just the pain left by being lied to that always stuck.

It should be easy to remember that breaking off a friendship almost hurt more then a heartbreak.

Yet he lost the one he loved, and the people who he thought he could trust whole heartedly lied to him.

He was young, and fragile, and in love.

What were you supposed to do?

After a whole year, a whole goddamn 12 months of his own loneliness and empty pit of emotions.

Jungkook made a decision.

Perhaps if they let him, forgive him for doing what he did.

Maybe they could be his hyungs again, his loved brothers, his biggest supporters.

Yes, he was scared, absolutely terrified and anxious, and sick, and really, really scared.

But Jimin was by his side, holding his hand, soothing him with comforting words.

Jungkook was getting better. He was no longer lying in bed, waiting for the clock to stop ticking.

Instead he was out and about, feeling lighter as long as he had Jimin there, smiling at him the way he does.

So he takes a deep breath, closing his eyes, lifting his head, feeling the small breeze as it swept through his hair.

He feels the small squeeze of Jimins hand, of assurance.

Then as he flutters his eyes open, he's met with 5 sad stares, eyeing him in curiosity and sadness that it almost makes him cry.

5 different set of eyes that he's known and loved for so long that he's starting to feel like a wave of emotions right then.

And they could see it. They could see his change.

Jungkook was okay now, he got his heartbeat back again.

He was no longer shoving, screaming, crying, pent of of anger and frustration and sadness and emptiness.

Now he looked warm, calm, soft and just free. Jungkook was no longer held back by the ghost of his past, he was facing it now. With AI Jimin by his side.

Everyone could feel the aura of warmth and sadness radiating off of Jungkook, his anxiousness.

Jungkook was at a loss for words.

Mouth opening and closing like a fish, hand clenching at his side, chest heaving up and down as he tried to calm his racing heart.

This was something he must absolutely do, something that even AI Jimin didn't suggest for him to do.

Calling out to his hyungs was Jungkooks decision all on his own.

He made up his mind that day at the aquarium, where everything just felt so right.

It was then, even though as right as it felt—something was still missing.

It was missing 5 empty hearts, that called out to him, 5 empty hearts that was always waiting.

Waiting for Jungkook, they were never mad at Jungkook for doing what he did.

They missed their rock.

So with another deep breath, and small tightening around Jimins hand—Jungkook breathed out.

"Hyung."

That's all he had to say. He didn't know how to word anything.

Just one word, one small word filled with emotion and vulnerability. One word that spoke a thousand words that never needed to be said.

Just one word and everyone understood.

Jungkook didn't need to say no more.

They just wanted him to open his heart again, that was all.

That was all it took to have a whole set of familiar arms wrapped around him.

Crying, and clutching into each other.

Jungkook cried.

Though not tears of sadness but more of a happy feeling.

A feeling of wholeness as Jimin joined in as well.

Jungkook was home in the protective arms of his hyungs.
