Emily's POV
I had said good bye. I know I should be happy, but I feel so sad. I really like Jason, but has someone else on his mind. Whatever. I drove myself to the airport. Harvard here I come.
~~ 4 hours later ~~
I arrived at the campus. It was like another little city!
"Wow." I said. I didn't expect it to be this big. I walked around until I found the dorms. I got my room and walked in to find my new roommate had already made herself at home.
"Hi! I'm Kate!"
"Emily." I replied.
"Cool. Sorry I'm kind of a geek." She said. She had Minecraft posters and posters of TC. There was one of Sky.
I pointed to it.
"Guess what?" I asked her.
"What?" She asked curiously.
"This is my brother." I say to her smiling.
She freaked out.
"Yeah, I just got here from the TC house. Maybe you should visit sometime." I say to her. She smiles ear to ear.
"That'd be SO cool!" she said. I unpacked everything I brought with me.
"What are you studying?" I ask her.
"Environmental law." she says.
"Me too!" We laugh. We checked our schedules and we had the same classes. This would be a fun 4 years.
(A/N I haven't gone to college yet so I'm only going to include a few things, then another time skip or a different POV)
I learned we had the meanest teacher. Ever.
I went to a party in my 2nd year. It was awesome.
I went to one in my 3rd year and 4th too.
I graduated, but didn't tell anyone, as in TC. I was going to surprise them.
I had gotten my degree and I had a job in (enter city here). I was so excited. I hadn't seen anyone if four years. Even though I had texted them and talked to them, it wasn't the same.
Me and Kate were on the plane and we were planning the surprise.
"So we just casually walk in and sit on the couch?" Kate asks. she was by my side all through college. We were besties.
"Of course! We'll just walk in, and start watching tv like its no biggie." I explained.
~~skip plane ride~~
We called a taxi and gave them the TC house address. When we got to the house we couldn't stop smiling. There were no cars. The grass in our yard had died. Everything looked abandoned.
I decided to call Adam.
E-Emily A-Adam
E: Hey Adam!
A: Hey! Haven't heard from you in a few weeks.
E: Yeah I've been busy. I'm coming home next week!
A: that's awesome!
E: have you guys moved?
A: No but our house looks like absolute crap.
E: haha! ok pick me up at the airport next Friday at 11 pm
A: Ok! See ya then!
I hung up. I hear someone shout inside.
"SHES COMING HOME IN A WEEK!!" Adam screams. Everybody ran upstairs to join Adam. We opened the door and tip toed in with our suitcases. We quietly sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. We made ourselves comfortable when Jason yelled down from upstairs,
"Hey guys did someone just turn on the TV?"
"Nah dood we are all upstairs." I signal Kate, 3,2,1.
"EXCEPT FOR US!!!!" We scream. It's totally silent for a moment. Then a group of people come down the stairs and scream.
"I thought you weren't coming for a week!" Ty says. Then a girl comes downstairs and I don't recognize her.
"You must be Adams little sister! Nice to meet you! I'm Amelia, Jason's girl friend."
"Nice to meet you too!" I say and fake a smile. Only Kate noticed this.
"This is Kate everyone! My new bestie! Well, not really new cause we've been besties for almost 4 years, but you get the idea." I say.
"She's also a fan. I'm gonna go unpack." I say.
I get upstairs and find my iPod and earphones. I put on "Long Gone and moved On" by the script while I unpacked. At the end of the song I found myself silently crying. Kate came in. She didn't say anything, she just gave me a hug and sat down.
"Are you ok?" She asks. I wipe the tears off my face.
"I'm fine, just a bit upset." I say.
"Oh come on! Get over Jason! He doesn't deserve you!" She says to me. I give her a small smile.
"I don't know. I just thought... Nevermind. It was stupid." I say.
"I know what you thought. You told me, remember? Plus I can tell what you thought about it. Spending 4 years with someone, you can easily tell how they feel." I laugh slightly.
"Yeah." I say shakily. "I just need a moment to pull myself together." I claim. She hugs me once more and leaves.
Jason's POV
Emily was faking to be happy to Amelia. I could tell, so after Kate went up to go unpack a bit, I went up there saying I was going to get my phone. Half true.
I put my ear to their door.
"Oh come on! Get over Jason! He doesn't deserve you!" Kate says. I hear sniffling. Great job Jason, you made the girl you love cry. I leave to get my phone so the others don't suspect anything. I knew I needed to break up with Amelia.
But part of me didn't want to.
