Chapter 4

Sorry it was a bit late. I had no service while camping so I couldn't update for you.

Adams POV

I couldn't move myself. It was her. She.. she.. but.. how? They told me she died! How is she here? It was Delilah. We were dating and I was going to purpose to her. She died driving to work because that morning because of a drunk driver. I saw her body. She had no pulse. But she's still here. She always way a fighter. Then I find the courage to say something.

"Hey there Delilah." I said.

"Hi. Um. Who are you?" she asked

" I'm Adam. Remember? From high school?" I was going to sob right here and now if she couldn't remember.

"She has memory loss. She had a bad car accident and every 50 minutes she forgets what happens. She forgot everything from the past 4 years after the accident. she was dead but they somehow revived her. I'm sorry Adam." A man beside her said. I recognized him as her father.

"Oh." was all I could say. Emily, Ty, and Jason all stood there clueless. I started sobbing. Emily pulled me into a hug. Delilah's father gave me a hug too.

"I know about the ring. I found it on her grave. She really loved you. She would have said yes." He started crying too. We sat there. 2 grown men in a hospital crying like babies onto each other's shoulders. People gave us looks but I didn't care. I had those feelings bottled up for so long. After a minutes or two we left to get home. I was bombed with questions on the way home.

"I'm sorry man." Jason said once we were in the car.

"Me too." Emily added.

Emily's POV

I smiled as we were about to pull into the drive way. My smile was wiped off my face when I saw a man at the front door with a gun. The man turned as Adam slammed on the pedal (they were in reverse) to leave. I saw his face. I remember him. He shouldn't be here. He should still be in jail. But he broke out. Now he was going to kill me. And everyone I loved too.
