Chapter 12

Amelia's POV

Me and Kate stood shocked, at what Emily was saying. And what did she and Jason mean- what did he do to Nick? I'm SO confused.

"Hi..." I said awkwardly. Emily eyes darted to us and her expression softened.

"Hey guys." She spoke quietly.

"What's up?" Kate asks as Jason leaves and we both enter the room.

"Shiz has been going down you guys didn't know about... Involving Jason and Nick." She quietly tells us.

"Can I ask what happened?" I whispered. I still kinda liked Jason... a lot.

"He beat up Nick. And said he was teaching him a lesson." She explains.

"Oh..." Kate spoke quietly.

"Yeah..." Emily replied. It started to get Reall awkward so I said,

"Ummm... I'm gonna go chat with Jason, Kate, do you want to go get Adam?"

"Sure." Kate agrees and we leave. We go down a long hallway to Adam and Jason.

"We need to talk." I grimly tell Jason.

"Adam, Emily really wants to talk to you." Kate and Adam get up and leave.

Leaving just me and Jason.

Great.

I sigh.

"What's wrong?" Jason innocently asks.

"Why the hell did you nearly kill one of my best friends?!" I scream at him. By now we were both not sitting in the chairs.

"I taught him a good fucking lesson!!" He yells in reply.

"Yeah? How?! If Emily had wanted to him to be hurt, she wouldn't have jumped in the way of a bullet for him!!! You are a complete dumb ass!!!" I yammer (It's a word, I looked it up)

"Atleast I'm not as blind as you!! He deserved to get shot!!" He shouts.

"Blind?! He doesn't deserve it!! If anyone does you do!! You told Emily you loved her!! Then when she came back you had a girlfriend!! Then you broke her new best friend's heart to be with her after 2 weeks!!! And you expected her to just forgive and live happily ever after?!!! That's not how life works!! If anything, you were the blind one!!!" I snap. He looks shocked and angry. Then he slaps me so hard I fall and my cheek bleeds, he had a weird ring on his index finger. I gasp and look up at him from the floor.

I slowly stand up and Jason looks like he is even shocked himself.

Once I stand, I punch him. In the nose. Hard.

Let's just say, I probably broke it.

Adams POV

Kate took me back to Emily's room. I see her looking disappointed and I run and hug her tightly. I slightly cry.

"I missed you so much." I whisper.

"Adam- air- please." Emily breathes. I release her a little so I don't suffocate her.

"Was it really a year?" She asks me, I can tell she's tearing up too.

"Yes."

"I'm sorry."

"Why?"

"It was my idea to go visit Harvard. It's my fault this happened." She says regretfully.

"No it's not. You couldn't have known it would happen." I try to reason with her.

"Maybe your right. But maybe your not." Emily is confusing herself now.

"It's ok Emily, nothing bad will happen this time." I reassure her.

"Ok."

???'s POV

"Mission failed dammit!! You were not suppose to nearly kill him then you were suppose to finish him at the school!" Boss yells at me.

"I'm sorry! That bitch got in the way!" I exclaim.

"Look. You have one more chance. If you screw up again, I'll turn you in. Watch yourself." Boss orders.

"Alright." I agree. I stand up and leave the dark room.
