Chapter 10

Emily's POV

All i saw was darkness. I could hear people talking and of I paid attention, I could make out Jason's or Adam's or Nick's or someone's voice. I'm sooo bored. Everything is just pitch black, but then there is a light that pulls me towards it.

Adams POV

Her heart monitor started to get slower and slower.

"Emily! You can't die on me! You just cant! If you die on me you're grounded!" I squeezed her hand.

"Emily, please." I say barely above a whisper.

"I lost you once and I can't lose you again." I tell her. Doctors and nurses were rushing in and I had to stay in the back of the room. She flat-lined. They tried to electro thing and they managed to get a pulse. I took a deep breathe. That was close.

"Please don't die on me." I tell her.

Jason's POV

I felt pain in my knuckles as I punched him in the face for the 7th time. His nose was probably broken and he would definitely have a black eye. His lip was bloody- very bloody- and I heard his jaw crack. He was bruised all over now. He deserved it.

"You sick bastard. You should've gotten shot! Not her! And of you dare touch my girl again, Nick, I will not hesitate to kill you." I say sternly. He was unconscious, and if I didn't leave now I would be arrested. I kicked him in the stomach one more time, even though he was already on the ground. He wasn't expecting it, that's for sure. I walked out of the abandoned house and to my car.

Have fun walking 100 miles with no cell service Nick.

Emily's POV

I was opening my eyes. I found myself in an unfamiliar room. I was in the hospital. Suddenly, I remember everything that happened. I see a nurse walk by and I try to speak.

"Excuse me, do you know where my brother and boyfriend are?" It ends up a whisper, but the nurse noticed. Her expression brightened when she saw me awake.

"I'm nurse Kelly, and I've been making sure you've been okay the last... Year. It's 5:30 am, but I'll go try calling them." She introduced herself.

"Thank you." I reply. She smiles and walks away. 1 year huh? I sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for something to happen.

Nicks POV (6 months before she woke up)

I woke in the woods and was a long way from home. My face feels like hell and suddenly memories flood me. I recall someone telling me something.

"Dare touch... girl again... won't hesitate... kill you." Is all I heard. It was Jason.

"Have fun walking 100 miles home with no cell service, Nick." I heard someone chuckle. I crawled over to the noise and heard someone go into a porta-potty. I quietly crawled in the trunk of the truck.

Now-

Jason kept threatening me. I needed Emily to wake up, maybe then this hell would be over. I had been up thinking for hours. On how that scenario with the gun should have ended. I looked at the clock and it was now 5:31 am. Great! That was when my phone rang. And it was the hospital. I prepared myself for the worst before I answered.

"Hello?" I shakily asked.

"Hi this is Kaiser Hospital, and Emily has woken up and she is requesting you."

"I'll be there in 10!" I yelled before hanging up.

I'm coming for you Emily.

Adams POV

I heard my phone ring while I was sleeping. I grabbed it and looked at the caller ID. It was the hospital. Oh God.

"Hello?"

"Hi this is Kaiser Hospital, Nurse Kelly, and Emily is awake and is requesting you." Someone, Kelly, informed me.

"Ok! Be there in 15!" I told her and hung up.

I'm coming for ya little sis.

A/N
