After a long drive to Mystic Falls, Anne and Enzo stopped by the abandoned lot the Travellers were in, then went to the Salvatore boarding house to say their goodbyes. However, when they got there, Jeremy was walking past them with a big bag in his hand, Elena looked upset, and Damon was—unsurprisingly—drinking.

"I take it something didn't go well?"

Damon turned around from facing the fireplace to reply to Enzo, "Eh, not bad, not good."

Anne flopped down on the nearest couch and reached for the bottle of Brandy on the table. "Vent to us, girlfriend."

Damon exhaled, staring aimlessly into his drink. "Long story short, Little Gilbert is putting on his big boy pants and leaving the house to live with Matt and Tyler. Now, Elena's upset because she feels responsible for all the crazy in his life. And because she's upset, I'm upset."

Enzo sat down on the opposite couch from Anne, pouring himself a drink when Anne was finished pouring herself one. She furrowed her brows at Damon, "I'm sorry, but, if I do recall correctly," She glanced at Enzo for backup, "Did you not kill him at one point?"

Damon stared at her, and after a pause, he waved her away and said, "Eh, it's in the past."

Anne scoffed, "Jesus, you guys have problems. It's a cesspit of morals and sex in this town."

Damon downed his drink and walked away in annoyance, muttering something about how useless the two of them were as friends. Enzo called out to him, "I'm going with Anne to Seattle for a couple of days, I'll come back here to cheer you up when I'm done!"

Damon flung a hand in the air, "Yeah, yeah."

Anne turned to Enzo, "Alright you, let's get going. I've got work to catch up on."

They both finished their drinks, put the empty glasses on the table, and headed towards the door. Enzo asked, "So, what will we get up to when we arrive at your humble abode?"

"Oh," Anne said while Enzo tossed her the car keys, "Yanno, bit of stalking, a little compulsion. Lots of drinking," Anne emphasised excitedly, but was cut short by a cracking in the bushes.

She turned her head to her right, carefully listening and looking into the darkness of the surrounding grounds. In no time at all, she smelt Tyler in the bushes and looked directly into his wolf eyes. His heartbeat sped up slightly at the fright of being discovered, but he ran away as quickly as he was discovered.

Enzo had a look of confusion, "What was that?"

Anne shrugged, getting into the drivers seat and shutting the door. "Just a little pup growing an obsession with me."

Enzo sat in the passengers seat, and Anne began to drive off to the airport. "So," he turned to Anne, "Where to first?"

"Airport, Seattle, my place. Ideally in that order."

Enzo nodded, but his body language was screaming out 'I want to say something.'

"Spit it out," Anne said, keeping her eyes on the dark road ahead.

He chuckled, "That obvious, huh?"

"That obvious. Now, what's on your mind?"

Enzo shuffled in his seat slightly, then said, "You've changed."

Anne kept her eyes on the road. Enzo persisted, "Not much, but it's noticeable. You're more careful now."

"I have to be."
