"Right... So, is this some kind of kink chamber?"

Anne studied the room while the two of them walked down the staircase. Walls made of cold red brick and grey concrete, antique sconces lining the place to give light—she paid no attention to whether they were flame or electric, and big metal slabs of doors with little peepholes, which had tiny bars to further emphasise the whole 'prison' theme.

Stefan muttered in front of her, "We get that a lot.

"Huh."

"Mmm.... la de, la de, daa..."

Anne furrowed her eyebrows, "Is that humming?"

They got to the bottom of the stairs, and Stefan beelined towards one cell where the humming was coming from, and slid the slot that covered the peephole. He looked inside briefly, and then got out a key and unlocked it. After pushing the door open, he gestured for Anne to come over.

She walked over and gave Stefan a look, and then turned her head to peer inside. And sure enough, there was a dark-haired man on his knees, humming to nothing in particular.

"This is my brother, Damon."

Damon raised his  head and looked at the two of them, "Who's this little bucket o' blonde?"

"I'm Anne, I'm here to help."

"Help with what? I'm dandy, can't you tell?" Damon waved his chained wrists in the air theatrically.

Stefan folded his arms and rolled his eyes at his brother. "Klaus actually called in Anne as an... unexpected favour."

Damon made a 'hmpf' in response.

"Klaus said he would get in contact with an old friend of his," Stefan gestured to Anne, "One that had experience in Rippers. More experience than me, as it happens. She has, ah... quite the history with it, and I'm convinced she can help us help you."

Damon's mouth hung open with boredom and disinterest. His hands were held back by chains, and as he leaned the slightest bit forward to look at Anne directly, they made a jingle that echoed in the cell. "I don't need your help, just gimme some blood, and I'll be fine," He said, dragging out the last word.

He leaned back and rolled his head on his right shoulder, his eyes half open but still aware. "Or maybe, you can help me. Come a little closer, won't you?"

"You're a cheeky one," Anne condescended playfully, "but it's a very firm 'No' from me."

Damon rolled his entire body in exasperation, "You're no fun, bucket."

"Yeah, life's tough, cry me a river." Anne turned to Stefan, "What happens when you stop feeding him Vampire blood? Will he desiccate, or will any blood do the trick?"

"I'm not sure, we haven't tried that. It really only recently happened, and we've never dealt with a Vampire who feeds on Vampires before, so..."

"Untested terrain, got it. What about vervain? Does it hurt him even more because he feeds on Vampires, or no?"

Stefan made a face that Anne replied with: "Right, you don't know."

Damon waved his hands, "Hellooo? Am I forgotten about, here?"

The two Vampires turned to examine the newbie Ripper with calculating eyes, which provoked Damon to say, "I'm a complex character, I know. Don't try to figure me out, you'll give yourself a headache."
