Custos' pov:

I dropped off Amata in her house before quickly running back to where I last saw that doc and asked him what the fuck is from with me, like what kind of sickness I have?

He had just smiled and said I wasn't sick but then what was my problem?

He was nice enough to give me a piece of paper and said to give this to the library owner and that she would give me a book or two I might need... If only I could read Latin I'd know what it means. I nodded a thank you and walked over to the big library tree, opening a heavy wooden door by pushing it open with my elbow.

"Hello there, I did wonder which one of you wolves would be the first coming here." I looked at the elf looking at me with a book in her hands and leaning back in a chair for a few seconds before closing the book and sitting up normally. "What can I do for you?"

"You own this place?"

"Well not technically but let's say that."

"Hmm... The doc said to give this to the owner and they'd give me a few books I might need for a problem of mine."

"Let me see." I held out the paper piece as she looked over it before taking it and humming. "Following me." She waved me after her as she walked away through the shelves stacked full of books of different sizes, thicknesses and age, some of the books here must be older then my grandma's grandma's grandma. "So why do you need these books exactly?"

"Well I thought I was sick and stuff but he said I wasn't."

"Ah the ignorance of youth." I glared at the back of her head for a second before shaking my head and sighing, why does everyone but me know what's up with me? Can't they just come forth and say it to my face? It's bothering... Really bothering. I stopped after almost bumping against her as she stopped. "Here you go, the were version." She handed me a surprisingly thin book.

"Were version?"

"Yeah, even in our common tongue words can differ, like you were-creatures use the word doctor and we use healer or moon goddess and the all mother, dinner and evening meal, it's just a version of the book written with your terms to not make it a hassle to read if you don?t know what these words mean."

"Oh, thank you." I did half expect I needed to read elvish stuff and trying to guess what they wanted to say but this was much better. "Wait only one book?" I asked as she walked away.

"Yeah, you have all you need in that one book, please put it back in its place after you are done reading it." I stared until she was gone before looking back at the book in my hands and sat down on the ground, flipping the cover open and starting to read. The more I went on with the book the more my face flushed red from... Embarrassment I think... That can't be true... Can it? I can't be... I can't be... Right?

"Fancy seeing you here Custos." I sighed and looked up from my book to see maybe the person that annoys me the most at the moment, Aura.

"Why hello to you too."

"No need to act sassy, I thought you be here, I left your evening meal with Amata." I felt strangely when she said her name. "What are you reading?" I let her take the book I was holding and flip through it and read a few lines before looking at me strangely and handing it back to me, silently staring at each other for a while. "I'd tell you to act soon Custos because if you won't I will." She said before walking away.

I clenched my hands into fists. I angrily put the book back into place and left, walking fast. I knew it was not exactly anger I felt at what she said now that I read this book and all pointed to the same side. I was jealous of her.

Really, really jealous....
