as he stood before the class, i watched him avoid the lingering eyes reading his body. i could feel knees tingle and his blood heat up. his voice began to shake as he introduced himself.

i could hear everyone's little chitchat, mainly about the boy.

the boy, known as michael langdon, walked beside my desk, looking at me dead in the eyes, locked on.

"Hey."

he sits down on the desk behind me softly.

i get chills down my spine. starstrucked.

...

overhearing my friends conversation, i observe michael sitting alone under a tree reading a somewhat captivating comic book. i recognize the comic; batman.

i walk over to michael, leaving my friends confused.

michael looks up from his book as he spots me walking towards him, i could hear his heartbeat speed up as i walk more and more towards him.

"why are you walking to me?"

i stop.

"i just wanted to say hi.", i say softly.

he squints his eyebrows in confusion,

he smirks and puts his comic book aside.

i laugh to break the awkwardness.

"anyways.. hi.", i chuckle nervously.

he smiles and laughs in response.

wow hes beautiful.

"you too."

i shiver, smiling.

"i see you're reading a comic book. batman?"

he looks down and smiles, "yeah, have you read this one?"

"haven't read any of them actually, i'm more of a novelist reader and writer.", i smile.

his face kind of lit up after i said that.

"you write?!", he says excitingly.

i laugh, "yeah, a bit here and there you know."

i sit down beside him as he explains the comic book, listening to his enthusiasm towards the book, i feel a calm yet excited vibe from michael.

...

home isn't quite as fun, i always know what i'm up against in the household; bias, selfishness, greed and conflict.

my parents hate each other, every time one of them walks into a room, one of them says the most vulgar things about each other. i've never seen them hug or kiss, its always boundaries.
