chp 26 "knowing her"

Ronit's POV

The ride with niki was almost quite. She is always like that. Quite and composed. The day I met her was three years ago at her home. When I saw her she was captivating. I couldn’t take my eyes from her. It was like something was pulling me towards her.

She did nothing for me to gain any attention. But that only caused my more attention.

But it was like only a month ago when I stared in her eyes for the second time. she was standing at street waiting for Nik.

When I saw in her brown eyes they  were sad, which were once happy. I can say very sad and hallow. Like they don’t have any dream.

She was just a robot; without feeling. But then I gradally came to know it was because of the boy name Karan who was her best friend. And I am living in his house. That day is still in my memeory when she cried in my arms. Sobbing, crying questioning….i just wanted to do anything to stop her crying but then I thought it was the first emotion she was showing so I let her cry. Till she fell asleep.

“can you just stop by any next gas station?” niki asked snapping me out of the train of thought.

“Sure Angel.” I replied. This made her frown and I enjoyed.

Rest of the ride was same making little conversation. Listening radio, making little to no conversation, and I got her view every time , Till the time we reached the hotel where the weeding was going to take place.

We came out of the car, stretching lightly we made our way towards the hotel lobby.
I took hold of her hand as it was crowded, I thought she would retract it, but she neither retract it nor did accept it. It was just me holding her.

Niki’s eyes started searching through the crowd. they just were moving here and there when I spotted a girl moving in hurry towards us.

She was little fluffy with brown black hair and square specks. In a blink of eye she engulfed Niki in her hug. 

I was about to take my hand back to me but it was tighted by niki’s hold now. That spread a new feeling in my body, That I need this.

“ are you planning on killing her?!” I asked the girl. My voice broke the hug and even the hold on my hand. She took her hand on her side and the fluffy girl’s attention was on me now.

“who are you to tell me what should I do or not?” she asked me raising her brow.

Before I could react Niki reacted to the question.

“he is my colleague. We came here together, Neerali” That one word was enough to make me frown.

Am I not her friend?

At least that can I expect from her.

Seriously ?colleague?

“oh” Neerali said giving me a million dollar smile like I gave her a gift on cristmas. And I came to know that this is the girl she came here. It was her weeding.

“where is Nik and Tina?” she asked.

“Tina is pregant and doctor advice—“ Niki never got a chance to complete as she was engulfed in another bone crashing hug.

“neeru, I… can’t… breath” Niki whispered and Neerali broke the hug.

“I am so so happy for both of them” Neerali exclaimed.

“come on I will show you your room.” she said to us. Before she can say any more, I interrupted her.

“I am not staying I just came to drop Ang-Niki, I will be leaving now” I announced turning, not wanting to say goodbye.

“No, you are not leaving. Can’t you stay till my weeding. I will be more than happy.” Neerali requested to me and the turned to Niki and she said “you can request him for me please!”

Niki looked at me, with her eyes and I didn’t really got what she ment by it. Was she telling me to stay or was she warning me to get out the hell out of here till i have a chance?  But before I could understand anything a room key was placed in my hand. “That’s the key for your room.”

"Where is mine?" Asked Niki.

“didn't I placed the key in his hand?" Neerali raised an eyebrow at Niki then turned to me smiling " it has two rooms in one. Actually I already booked it for Niki and Nik. But if you not like I will ask to book another room for him” Neerali suggested but Niki said it will be ok.

So, she want me to stay… can I do a little Happy dance here?

We moved inside and got the room that was on sixth floor. It was a good room with two separate bedrooms and a living room. Now we have to decide who gonna take which room.

Niki took the right and without any choice I took the left one.  We got fresh’n up, after taking a long hot shower I choose to where my sweat pant and I decided to get some sleep.

As I was about to go to sleep the bell rang. i ignored it. Then again after 5 sec it rang again.

I went to the door and opned just to revil neerali with three other girls standing.

“yeah?” I asked.

“hey, sorry to disturb but can u call niki, they wanted to meet her.” Neerali responded. I saw the other three and saw then staring?

“Yeah of course” I said and opened the door ajar so that they could come in.

I walked to niki’s door to call her, if she didn’t came out then must be she sleeping or was in bathroom. I prefer the first one.

I knocked her door and I got the response ‘yes’ so I opened the door and without looking anywhere but floor I said “you friends came to meet you angel, they are waiting” and closed the door after hearing ‘coming’.

It just felt like I was already staying with her. Having normal couple relationship. That made me smile.

I was in my thought when the door opned and Angel came out in her causal t and pajama-I think she too thought to sleep.

Her hair were wet and she was giving me the smell of fresh flower.

How much I love that smell!!

She saw me while her eye stayed little more time than usual. I think I have something on my body. Why are they staring. She blinked her eye and saw right to see her friends and then again saw me.

But the next she did just was beyond shock.

She pulled me with my elbow and dragged me in my room and opened my cupboard finding something and when she finally got it she gave piece of cloth that was actually a shirt and then I realized I was not weaing my shirt. And she went out, without uttering the word.

I wore the shirt and tried to open the door just to find it locked.

Really!?

I don’t know how to react.

So I decided to sleep.

Sleep overtook me in matter of second, and from that movement the shirt became my favorite.

Am I not acting as teenage boy who had fell in love for the first time?

Well yeah its my first time.

So let’s just say I am enjoying.
