Cinderella's shoe was a crystal sign,
Of love's baffling, once upon a time.
They got a chance to dance but never dine,
On love's bittersweet passionate crime.
Sleeping Beauty is known for true love's kiss,
Sparking power of shrewd pretending.
There is such power in heroic bliss,
Yet we never know of the real ending.
Arial was always oh so convinced,
Her looks would cover her lack of voice,
The fin pretty sure disgusted her prince.
Is Walt Disney making an outward choice?
My mother taught me these stories of love,
Knowing they were true fairytales thereof.
