Chapter 22

I ran into my room and into the bathroom. I dug into the bottom of my makeup bag and found what I was looking for.

My blade.

I put it up over my wrist and was about to bring the blade down, when here's someone open the bathroom door.

It was Cameron.

He looked over at me with sadness.

"Brooke... Why would you do this?" He asked quietly.

He took my blade from my hand and threw it in the toilet. He flushed it.

I started crying. He wrapped his arms around me and I put my head in my crook of his neck, crying softly.

"Brooke. Promise me you won't do this again."

I just nodded.

"I can't bear to see you like this." Cam said.

He looked at my face and wiped my tears away.

"Is something wrong?"

"M-Matt." I sobbed.

His expression turned from sad to angry.

His eyes turned into flames.

"Cam no don't hurt him." I said.

"But he hurt my little sister!"

Cam was like the older brother I never had.

"Cam, I'll deal with it ok?"

"I swear if he lays a finger on you-"

"Cameron."

"Fine." He gave me a warm hug.

I walked out of the bathroom leaving him alone.

Matt's POV

I can't believe myself. I don't blame her for hating me. I hate myself too.

I can't lose her. I love her too much. She's amazing and perfect... And I'm such a screw-up. I don't deserve her, but I want her to forgive me.

She my other half. I don't even know how I lived life without her.

I put my head in my hands and tears fell out of my eyes.

I was crying.

I've never cried about a girl before, but Brooke was special.

I really want her to forgive me, more than anything...

But I don't deserve her forgiveness.
