An hour later, I heard a knock on the door and I quickly wiped off my face with a towel to wipe off the makeup and tears. I rushed over to the door and opened it.

It was the mailman. He was holding some mail. "Here you go Miss." He smiled and handed me the mail.

I smiled back. "Thank you." I closed the door and looked through all the mail. It was all bills and junk.

There was one letter that caught my eye. It was from Debbie Espinosa, Matt's mom.

I opened it. It said:

Dear Brooke,

I know you two broke up, but we would love for you to attend Matthew's funeral.

Indiana family funeral home

September 9th was tommrow. I'm gonna go.

I ran up to my room and I texted Debbie that I would go. She replied almost instantly.

From Debbie:

He really loved you, Brooke. He died coming to see you

My heart broke into a million pieces. He really loved me, and I cheated on him. He loved me so much that he came out to Indiana to see me in the hospital. And he died.

It's my fault he died. And I can't do anything about it.

"Matt. Matthew Lee Espinosa. If your out there, anywhere, just know that I'll always love you." I whispered and tilted my head up at the sky.
