Chapter 28

Brooke's POV

I don't know how long I've been here, and I don't care.

I'd rather just die now then have this torture.

Emma comes down here once a day to pretty much hit me, and then she leaves.

I have no food, and I only have a water bottle I found in the corner of the room.

I barely have strength to stand up, so I just lay down all day.

I don't know what's gonna happen.

All I know is that I'm going to die if I don't escape soon, but I barely have the strength to stand up, let alone run out of here.

I just hope someone will find me soon.

Matt's POV

I grabbed my phone and ran out of the room. I took the elevator down to the lobby and I stepped out to the curb.

I scanned the parking lot for my car, until I found it. I ran over to it, and unlocked the car door. I hopped in and started driving.

You probably wondering where I'm going.

Well, I'm going to save Brooke.

I finally pulled up to a small, dingy looking cabin sitting in front of a lake.

I shut off my car engine and walked up to the cabin.

I tried opening the door, but it didn't even budge. It was locked.

Shit. How am I gonna get it? I saw a window around the side of the house. I creeped over to the window and tried to open it. It slid open without a problem. I jumped through it, and saw that I was in some kind of a bedroom.

I walked out of the room, and saw a flight of stairs going down. I quietly started walking down the stairs.

I got to the bottom of the stairs, and I swung open the door.

There was a dark, crumpled figure in the corner. I rushed over to it.

"Matt?" It was Brooke calling me. She lifted her head.

"Brooke! Come on we have to get you out of here." I picked her up in my arms and started running towards the stairs with her.

I dashed up the stairs and out the door when I heard pounding footsteps behind me.

I turned around and saw Emma rushing after us. She had a gun in her hand.

I started running faster, but it was too late.

She had already shot me.

Sorry for the cliffhanger!

I'm super tired and I have a busy day tommorow so I'm gonna go to sleep.
