Chapter 11

Matt's POV

"Can you go for a second?" I asked quietly and Carter left the room.
I sat down on the edge of Brooke's bed and stared at her. I played with her hair. I took her hand in mine.
"Brooke, I haven't known you long, but I love you. I love the way you laugh, the way you talk, the way you breathe. Your so beautiful, and funny, and sweet.
Your perfect, and I need you too make it, unlike Ally, because I know how much everyone will miss you, but mosly me. Please be ok, I just want you to be ok." Tears were streaming down my face and I layed my head next to hers. I closed my eyes. I just wished she was awake, alive, and healthy again.
I felt a soft tap of my head, and I looked up to see Brooke smiling weekly.
"H-Hi." She said and coughed.
"Hello beautiful." I said and kissed her on the cheek.
"I lov-ve you to." I could tell she had trouble talking.
"I'm guessing you heard all that." I said and scratched my back of my neck.
"Don't worry. It was adorable!" She said.
I grinned and walked into the hallway.
"Dude. She's awake!" I said happily and he ran into the small room.
Brooke was lying down, and when she saw Carter she smiled really big. He have her a big hug.
"Thank god your ok."
"I'm hungry guys."
"I'll go tell the doctor to give you something to eat." I stood up. "Carter stay with her." He nodded.
I went off and found him talking to another nurse.
"Excuse me, doctor?"
He turned around. "Yes?"
"Brooke has woken up." I said.
"Great!" He smiled and walked with me to her room, where she was talking to Carter.
"Hello Brooke!" He said. "I'm gonna just check you up alittle bit and blah blah blah..." a bunch of medical stuff I already knew.
He finished up with Brooke so I walked over.
"He doesn't know if my l-lungs will ever work again." She cried softly.
My heart fell to my knees.

Brooke's POV

What if my lungs don't work anymore.
What if I get a breathing thing like Hazel? What if I die? Even if I didn't die, Matt would break up with me. I loved him. When I heard the things he said about me, I realized how amazing he is.
The door opened, snapping me out of my thoughts, and I saw a Nurse come in.
"Ready for an X-Ray? You want a wheelchair or no wheelchair?" She asked nicely.
It was still hard for me to breathe well, so I picked the wheelchair.
Carter and Matt left a few minutes ago to eat and get all the rest of the guys.
I did my x-ray, and then I tried to go to sleep.
As I closed my eyes, I felt like I couldn't breathe. My lungs instantly started feeling like they were on fire. Maybe they were, I don't even know, but it hurt.
I pressed the emergency button on my bed and in came a nurse and a doctor. They saw on one of my monitors that I couldn't breathe, and they rushed me out of my room and down a long hallway. I starred to drift away, and I ended up falling asleep before I even reached to wherever I was going.
