Jackson and I haven't talked since we slept together, I haven't necessarily been avoiding him but when we have bumped into each other it's been extremely awkward. Bobby hasn't been around much to notice and it helps that Jax moved out yesterday. I think he has been avoiding me.

As I walked down the hallway at school I pulled Danielle into an empty classroom "I need your help." Danielle pulled me into a quick hug before gesturing for me to enter an empty classroom nearby. "I slept with Jackson, it was great and we were great until now, I think he is avoiding me and we haven't talked since that night."

Danielle pat me reassuringly on the back "I'm sure he isn't avoiding you, he could be confused and trying to figure things out, or some many other things."

I pulled her closer "I think I screwed everything up."

Danielle pulled away from me "tell me everything."

I smiled shyly at her "it was great, he was great. Danielle, he has been amazing and we have had fun up until now. I just want us to go back to before I slept with him."

"What?" Bobby and Jamie came over to us "who the hell did you sleep with?"

I looked over to Danielle worried "none of your business, why do you care you or Jax have been home so I found my own company."

I could see Jamie was seething, he wanted to say something but was keeping it to himself. Jackson came up to us ignoring the looks coming from Jamie. Jackson didn't even look over to me. He instantly engaged Bobby in a conversation about some sports team which meant Bobby dropped me sleeping with someone.

Danielle and I discreetly slipped out of the classroom and to our art class. We sat down at our usual desk "that was a close one, Matty. That ass wouldn't even look at you, have you tried talking to him?"

I shook my head "no, things have been weird and I didn't want to make things worse."

Danielle let out a deep breath pinching the bridge of her nose "talk to him, then go from there."

The rest of school went by slowly after school I drove slowly to Jax's new apartment. I paced outside his door trying to think of what I'm going to say. Just as I was about to knock he opened the door. I smiled at him "hey."

He awkwardly smiled back "hi."

I followed him inside and we sat down on the couch. He rubbed his hands nervously on his pants "so..."

I nodded my head "so...how have you been?"

Jax smiled reassuringly at me "I have been good, you?"

Jackson crosses his arms over his stomach "I have been good, is something wrong Matilda?"

I played with my hair trying to distract myself "I wanted to talk to you, things have been weird between us. I wanted to make sure everything was okay between us and yeah." Jax just stared at the tv, I could tell he was listening to me, he just didn't want to look at me. I whispered, "what is happening?"

He finally glanced at me "nothing is happening, what do you want to happen?"

I shrugged my shoulders "nothing, I want us to talk and actually look at each other."

Jax got off the couch heading towards his kitchen "I have been busy Matty, what do you expect I would drop everything and what..."

Tears welled in my eyes "don't worry about it. I will see you around I guess."

I paused in the doorway and watched him for a moment. He was looking away from me, I watched as he pored a drink before I left. I waited outside for five minutes hoping he would change his mind. He didn't.

I got into my car and drove to Danielle's as I got to her front door I let it all out. I gently knocked against her door. As soon as she saw me, she pulled me into her arms "what happened?"

"He told me he was busy and he wasn't going to do anything to change that." I cried into Danielle's chest as she moved us over to the couch.

She stroke my hair "there has to be more to it than that. Growing up you were everything to him. He had a massive crush on you. Whenever you came near him, his whole face would light up. I still see it on occasion. But you always had your head in the stars thinking about Jamie, you always liked the wrong cousin."

I used the sleeve of my shirt to wipe my eyes "he never said anything, what's happening with him now then. I slept with him and that's it. Do you think he just wanted a one night stand or I wasn't good enough? Danielle, there has to be more to it than that."

Danielle was stuck in her head for a moment "I think it has something to do with Jamie or Bobby."

I got off the couch "okay, I am going to go over there and I am going to demand answers."

Before Danielle could respond I stormed out of her house and I drove to Jackson's place. When I got there his car was still in the driveway. I parked behind him quickly getting out of the car. I harshly knocked on his door. He was quick to answer, he pulled open his door. His face twisted in guilt when his eyes met mine.

I assume it was the red glassy eyes, he stood by the door leaving me enough room to come in if I wanted. I slipped inside the apartment, I weakly asked "why, what is really happening Jackson. There has to be more than what you are telling me."

Jackson again went and sat on the couch, I sat on the coffee table in front of him. He was silent for so long "what do you want me to say?
