Here's part two!!!
"I'm going to tell you a story, kay?"
I didn't listen to hear if she answered. Instead, I launched into a story, a romantic tale the two of us knew well. My heart raced with the nerves of worry for Y/n and also the nerves of reliving our early relationship.
"The first day of middle school dawned bright and early for Taehyung, too bright and too early. Morning light filtered through the opened windows and the air smelled of late summer. He rolled out of bed and went through the motions of preparing for school. Dressing, eating, combing his sleep-mussed hair. He left with his backpack slung over one shoulder, lunch in hand." I could tell I was starting to reach Y/n, so I plowed on.
"The halls were crowded and Tae felt small in comparison to the huge personalities displayed by the popular or just generally cheery students. One student in particular caught his eye. She stood alone in a corner near the class assignments, looking reluctant to approach the board. She wasn't very tall. She had pretty, (hair length, hair color) hair. People seemed to walk right past her." He felt the sight in his soul, remembering how odd it was that she was so alone.
"Taehyung gathered himself and approached her. She looked startled as he greeted her, as if unable to believe someone would talk to her. As if she didn't deserve it. He felt slighted for her and offered to check her class assignment for her. She seemed so relieved when she agreed, as if walking past those people would hurt her. She introduced herself shyly, "I'm Y/F/N." He introduced himself and excused himself to check her assignment. Class 2B."
I paused to gather myself, recalling with stark clarity the rush of pleasure at being in the same class. I could still hear Y/n on the other end of the phone, but her breathing was becoming more normal.
"Taehyung and Y/n became close. They ate together, studied together. One day, when they were at a park, Y/n pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Taehyung saw it, the tiniest gesture, but beautiful all the same. A week later, he asked her on a date. Y/n said yes."
I looked up as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Y/n shot out like a bullet, and I held her close. She'd been crying.
"Tae, thank you." She managed. Then to Jungkook she added, "I'm sorry I ran off, I panicked."
Your pov:
You suddenly realized how you were clinging to Taehyung. And how that probably looked to Kookie. You stepped back and reached for Kookie's hand, intertwining your fingers with his. Your hands were still shaking, but Tae had helped you calm down a lot.
"Jungkook?" You prompted.
He had yet to say a word since the two of you had left the elevator. His face was creased with a dark look of concentration. His fingers were barely holding onto yours, as if he had yet to register their presence.
"I couldn't help..." He mumbled.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Taehyung heading back upstairs, giving you privacy. Sweet as always and so thoughtful. You shook the thought away, returning your focus to Jungkook's forlorn expression. You shook him gently.
"Kookie." You urged him.
"Y/n, do you still love Taehyung?" He wondered aloud. "I would understand, if you wanted him I mean."
"Kookie! I love you! That's crazy!" You assured him.
"But he helped you. He knew what to do. Not me."
You had no response for that. Sure, Tae knew how to distract you, but that was because he knew about your fear of elevators. It couldn't be counted against Jungkook.
You knew you had been in love with Taehyung. That was undeniable. He'd been your only friend for years. You two talked about fears, childhood, the serious topics of life.
You and Jungkook didn't. Did that really mean you weren't as in love as you'd originally believed.
"Y/n. Go to either me or Taehyung. I'll understand." Jungkook's voice trembled with suppressed emotion.
You couldn't believe your ears, he was letting you choose. You knew Tae wanted to be with you again. You knew it would be that easy to run after him and tell him you missed him to, that easy to hug and make up. You also knew that Jungkook loved you, you felt it in his fingers, the way his thumb rubbed your hand. In the way he looked at you.
But you loved both of them. Would it just be better to leave them both? To avoid pitting them against each other, save their friendship and find someone else altogether?
Decision made, you breathed deeply, steeling yourself against all other options. You:
You decide what you actually choose. Cuz all fangirls are different. In all honesty, I'm not sure what I'd decide in that situation. Cuz I love them all sooooooooooo much!!!!!!!! I hope you all like it!!! :)
