This Christmas was looking bleak. You didn't have the money to go home to your family festivities, Gguk was going to be home, and none of your friends would be in town. A lonely Christmas Eve. That's what you were having.
So you built a fire in the tiny fireplace of your living room, made hot chocolate and turned on your favorite Christmas movie. A pillow tucked under your head and your phone in front of you, you dozed off with you back to the grate, basking in the warmth it gave off while maintaining a safe distance.
Some time in the dark and unearthly hours of the night a door opening pulled you out of your slumber.
You sat up quickly, pulling your blanket up around your shoulders and casting wildly about for the source. The dying embers shifted and sent up a shower of sparks in the glowing hearth and you squeaked at the unexpected noise. Shoving another log on the flames u picked up the poker and and looked at the door suspiciously. You were much too scared to investigate but if someone came at you you would be some level of prepared.
"Baby," a soft voice whispered, "it's just me. Put the poker down y/n."
"What the heck are you doing back so late? You weren't supposed to be back until Friday what happened?" You worried, draping the blanket over his shoulders when he joined you on the hearth.
You rested your fire warmed hands against his wind chilled face and he sighed against your fingers, kissing them with the corner of his mouth.
"We did Christmas today. Everyone was there, so I told them I had to come back early. They didn't want you alone on Christmas either. I didn't want you to be alone. I was going to surprise you."
A smile creeped onto your lips, it was so easy to love Jeongguk when he thought of you like this. You shuffled closer and settled yourself between his legs while he hugged you closely, pressing his face into your shoulder.
"Merry Christmas Y/n."
"Merry Christmas Jeongguk, thank you for coming home. I love you."
"I love you too." He kissed your cheek lightly.
Gently, he shifted so that the two of you were laying in front of the fireplace like you had been before. He stroked his fingers through your hair, tenderly massaging your scalp. You snuggled against him, wrapping your arms around him tightly and he hooked a leg over your waist. The two of you fell asleep like, breathing softly in each other's arms.

The fire was burned out when the sun opened your eyes the next morning. Jeongguk's chin rested on your head and his hand was tangled in your hair, the other cradling you against him.
"Morning beautiful." He rasped.
"Morning," you giggled.
"Want your presents now?"
"Hm? Why would I get presents? Is it my birthday?" You smiled.
"Someone else's birthday. Jesus I think."
You laughed, "How about your presents."
He leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. "My favorite gift is right in my arms."
The heat rushed to your face and you buried your face against his chest. He pouted against your hair. "I want more kisses."
"Okay, okay."
You lift your head and pucker up and squinch your eyes, being silly and sleepy.
Jeongguk pushed you down and leaned over you. "A proper kiss, Y/n."
He held you by your waist and kissed you deeply, tasting your lips and holding you against him. Your hands tangled in his hair as he licked at your lips.
"Okay," he breathed, rolling off of you and onto his feet. "Time for presents!"
Flustered and breathless, you sat up and nodded. "Hang on, yours are all in the closet."
You brought out the wrapped gifts and set them on the floor, Gguk trampling down the stairs with his arms full of gifts.
"WAIT! I need hot chocolate!" You shouted, bringing out a plate of Christmas cookies and then running back for 2 mugs of your favorite holiday beverage.
"Come on baby, open mine first."
Suspiciously, you accepted the box. And shook it obnoxiously until he grabbed your wrists. "Open. It."
You nodded, tearing into the paper to reveal an amazon box. Upon opening that, it was revealed. A brand. New. Anniversary edition of your favorite game.
And a necklace. It was a small pendant dangling on a thin silver chain.
He really loved the matching bracelets you bought and the new watch. His favorite gift was his mug though.
You spent the rest of your morning lazily cuddling and listening to Christmas. At lunch we both got our butts up and worked together to make a mini fancy lunch. And then there was more cuddling to a Christmas movie.
