Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since I've posted. I don't get very motivated or inspired for one shots like I used to. But I had an experience the other day and i wish i hadn't been alone. So I'm taking that and making it a one shot.

It had been a long week. The stress of assignments laid heavy on your mind, piled with difficulties at your job and issues with your family. There was no relaxing when every spare minute people bombarded you with noise and complaints. Getting home from work, all you wanted was a long shower and a good sleep. Maybe a day off. A week. A month.
"I'm home." You called out, the cool air of your apartment wrapped you up in the familiarity and peaceful quiet.
"Ggukkie?" You wondered. He wasn't in front of his gaming set up and he wasn't in your bedroom.
He'd left a note in the kitchen though. He'd gone grocery shopping. He'd bring home dinner.
You called him. "Hey, I just wanted to let you know I got home okay."
"Hey baby, how was your day?"
"I'm really tired. I'll probably be asleep when you get home."
"Do you want me to wake you up for dinner or save it for later. I'm not that far from being done."
"I'll eat when I wake up, I love you."
"I love you too, y/n."
With that soft farewell, you gathered your clothes and headed to the shower. The water was turned to hot and you set your phone aside to charge while you played your music. The bathroom was quickly filled with steam and you stepped in the shower and washed through your hair carefully, rinsing the bubbles through. It felt good, the heat on your muscles, and you leaned into the water, letting it soothe your tired bones. It was difficult not to think of all the things that had been stressing you out. And maybe you'd been in the shower longer than you'd thought. And maybe the water was too hot.
You turned it to cold. And turned it back a moment later. A heaviness settled behind your eyes, as if you'd stood too fast.
You leaned against the shower wall and waited for it to clear, willing it away.
But it persisted.
It clouded your vision and solidified. A block of darkness that covered your vision. Your arms reached out instinctively, bracing yourself on the shower walls to stay upright. The darkness persisted. It spread to your fingertips, buzzing in your arms and legs and weighing down your chest.
That weight made it hard to breathe the steamy air. But you couldn't change the tap. You knew somewhere in the fog of your mind that you would fall.
The music faded out and the shower water pelted against your skin from a far away place. And you could hear it, but it wasn't quite there, like your ears were stuffed with cotton from the inside. And you had to close your eyes against the dark, even though you knew the lights were on and you could almost feel the light. But it was barred from you by the blackness.
You made a strangled sound in the back of your throat. You had to sit down before you collapsed. You slid down the wall as the door opened and your head lolled to the side.
You could hear Jeongguk crying out. You felt the water stop and a towel on your skin. It registered briefly that he must be soaked, kneeling in the water like that.
And you knew he was talking, but the words were too far away.
And you were wrapped up in one of his hoodies and a pair of his boxers and held against his chest. He towered through your hair as the sound rushed back into your ears. You could hear his soft sobs and your body registered the shaking of his chest against your back.
Blinking rapidly you tried to sit upright.
"Y/n!" Jeongguk shouted, folding you into his chest, salty tears joining the droplets in your hair. "What happened?"
"I'm okay, I'm okay, I don't know." You carded your fingers through his hair, working through the damp tangles.
He sat you back abruptly, rattling off a list of questions, what you'd eaten, how much water you'd drank, did you hit your head. And you answered. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened at all. You ate 3 meals, drank a normal amount of water, and your head was just fine.
"Well, dinner might still be warm. I know you're tired, but I need you to eat before you go to bed." He stared you in the eyes, making his point clear.
That had scared him.
It had scared you too. If you'd been alone, how lo g would you have lain there.
But it was okay. You felt dizzy when you stood, but that went away quickly. And Gguk sat you in the kitchen and brought you a take out box of kimchi fried rice with pork and the special barbeque sauce they had from your favorite place. He made sure you ate a decent amount, and even added some of his vegetables to your plate, something he may or may not have done regardless.
Then, he put you to bed, insisting on cleaning up alone. He left a water bottle on the nightstand and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
He wasn't gone for long, giving up a night of gaming in favor of cuddling you to sleep. He whispered a lullaby in your ear, a soft and warm feeling pervading your limbs as sleep lured you in.
The next morning you were still caged in his arms, "I told them you wouldn't be going to classes today. And I called work too, you need a rest day."
You turned in his arms to kiss his nose lightly. "I'm going to stay home, but I am okay. It was just a random one time thing, babe. I'm all good now."
"I like the idea of making sure." He smiled, claiming your lips softly with his own.
I hope you guys liked it. Please take care of yourselves. Personally, I don't know what caused that experience for me, because it was different from anything else I've had before. But just know I'm here for you (*゚ロ゚)ハッ!!
