It's a Christmas special.... :) Also tysm for 600 views ^^ ❤❤❤❤ Btw this is written from Jungkook's pov so there's hers* and shes* instead of you's and such :)

Jungkook stood behind the counter writing down an order of anemone and craspedia, for a customer when the bell rang. He felt bad about cutting off the woman on the phone, she was sending the flowers to her sick grandmother. (I looked up those flowers, 1st means anticipation, 2nd means good health) Jungkook was alone in the store and couldn't take both customers at once. He managed to excuse himself as politely as possible and moved to address his customer.

He saw the girl from the back and smiled, instantly recognizing y/n. He ducked behind the counter and rummaged through the pick up bouquets for the one he'd made for her.

"Hi y/n! I have a suggestion for you today!" He straightened and hid the single flower behind his back.

Y/n let out a yelp, "Oh! You startled me hyung!" With a soft smile, she stepped up to the counter. "What do you have for me today?"

"You have to start calling me Jungkook, you're here everyday y/n!" He shook his head in exasperated distress.

"Well, yesterday you purchased a single, purple tulip. Those are forever love. So," he paused, and she grinned, baiting him to continue. "I'm assuming the receiver of that is special. So special, you'd like to convey just how forever your love is."

"Just get on with it," She smiles.

"First, you have to call me Jungkook." He teased.

"I could always pick my own flower..."

Jungkook pouted and sniffed a little. "Where's the fun in that?"

"But I suppose it can't hurt. What do you have for me today, Jungkook-ssi?" She relented.

"A zinnia!" With a flourish, he produced the many-petaled pink bloom. "Lasting love, constancy, and goodness."

She reached for the stem and cracked the flower close, smelling its cloying sweet perfume. A nod later, she was digging into her backpack for the change. A single flower cost $0.89.

"I think this is perfect." She whispered.

She laid the money on the counter and Jungkook scooped it up, opening his mouth to speak. The bell rang and what he saw as he looked up was the retreating form of you, holding the flower close and humming softly. He smiled sadly. Though y/n bought one flower, everyday, she never stayed more than five minutes. She always had somewhere to be. He admired her diligence in sticking to your plans, but he wanted y/n around more often than not.

The bell rang as Jungkook was stepping back into the front of the store. He hefted the crate of orchids over the counter and grunted as he put it on the floor. Y/n poked her head over the line of flowers that blocked his view of the door, obviously tiptoeing to see. He grinned. Y/n coat was zipped up to her chin and a fluffy scarf was bundled around her neck.

"I'm glad you're here, I would've forgotten. We're closing for Christmas eve and Christmas this year." He informed y/n, wiping the dirt from his hands onto his green apron.

It was Christmas eve eve.

Her face fell. "Oh, well, then I need three flowers today."

"That's not a problem," He assured her. "What'll it be this time y/n?"

She smiled, "What? No suggestions?"

"I have to work sometimes!" He countered.

"Pfft, what is it you do exactly? Look up flower language and flirt with your customers?"

Bravely, he responded. "I only flirt with one of my customers."

She took a second to realize that he meant her. Her faced glowed at the implication and she took the tiniest step backwards. He felt his own cheeks burn at his forwardness and he bent to pick up one of his freshest blooms.

"How about...an orchid?"

"Well..." Y/n's voice dropped off as she stopped tiptoeing and he heard her mumbled that someone wasn't much for orchids.

"So, orchids are a no-go." He shrugged. "There are more flowers here y/n."

She shuffled around to his side of the display shelf. Her hands were buried in her pockets and her shoulders were hunched up to her ears.

"Are you still cold y/n?"

She nodded lazily.

"Come on, I have not chocolate in the back." He sidled past y/n and led the way to the backroom.

It smelled strongly of soil and mulch, even more than the front. He pulled a cup out of the cabinet and poured hot chocolate from his coffee maker inside. He handed y/n the cup and smiled as she cradled it close, the warmth seeming to sooth her fingers.

"So," Jungkook prompted. "You'll have to tell me who all of these flowers have been for someday. How about now?"

She met his gaze with something like fondness in her eyes. "You know, Jungkook, you could have asked anytime."

"Would you have told me?" He asked dubiously.

"Probably not." Y/n laughed. "Anyway, they're for my mom."

"That's very thoughtful of you, has she ever not liked a flower?"

At this question, something in y/n's eyes became more gaurded. "She passed away a long time ago."

Jungkook's chest tightened in sympathy and guilt. He mentally berated himself for his tactlessness. "I'm sorry, this isn't my business. That was dumb of me to ask."

"Don't apologize, Kookie. I don't mind the question." She smiled at him honestly and openly.

"Do you have to leave?" He wondered.

"Soon yes, but I don't have my flowers yet." Y/n reminded him. "You really don't work at all do you?" She sighed airily.

"Hey! We've been over this!"

Y/n laughed again and the two of you headed back to the front. He gave her the most festive flowers in the store. She thanked him gratefully. He watched her walk out again. But found, this time, that his feet were carrying him after her.

"Hey! Y/n!" Jungkook skidded to a stop behind her. "Merry Christmas."

He pushed the solitary red rose into her hands.

"Do I need to explain the meaning of this one?"

"No... but..."

"Someone like you deserves flowers. Everyday. And I want to be the one who gives them to you. Is that okay?"

Y/n was nodding, blushing, and trying to respond. Jungkook took a bold step closer, his heart hammering against his ribcage. He gently bent and captured y/n's lips in a soft shy kiss.

To which she whispered, "M-merry Christmas."
